“Amazing and original food which is very cheap”
Reviewed September 28, 2011

Between 2 of us we had 12 chinese dumplings ( 6 steamed and 6 fried ) for starters and for mains: dry fried noodles with pork and veg, chicken soup with red dates and ginseng. All of it was cooked to perfection and the entire meal cost £7!! It had a wide selection of vegetarian dishes for those who don't eat meat. If you want to drink alcohol you will need to buy it from the shop next door. Whilst Kuching is a very quiet city on a Tuesday night we ate with the sounds of the service at the Chinese temple next door making it a truly authentic experience.

“PRICE HAS INCREASE WAY TOO MUCH !!”
Reviewed September 25, 2011

I have been quite a fan to this little cafe since i'm a local. But lately ( couldn't recall exactly when it was) the price for every dish has increased dramatically. I used to have rice with meat which used to cost Rm 8.90/ portion but now cost Rm 13.90 for the same quantity ( like if you have chicken -- it would be only three tiny liltle pieces of it ). I have been noticing that now they go by branding ( from the packaging of take away order to expanding two more outlets in the town within, i think, one and half year time -- which signify they doing good and expanding needs more profit to keep it running . For local market -- they charge way too much for their standards ( the price as i point out above could be like what you will pay for a nice cafe food with a nice environment in a shopping mall). Of course, most of us would not really mind to pay for little expensive for food as long as it reflects the quality. Since i see most of the reviews is from the oversea visitors/ travellers so for them it may be not expensive since traveller has a bigger budget to blow :).

“Tasty food and great value”
Reviewed August 9, 2011

Went in a group of 7 here at the weekend. We got a good mix of all of the food they make (nearly everything!) and we liked most of it. My dish was a chicken curry, which had good meat and a really tasty gravy to it. Quite liked the dumplings too - The fried ones were better, but probably not better for you!

“Friendly, good fruit drinks, limited menu.”
Reviewed September 6, 2010

Just on the edge of Chinatown. Menu is a little limited, it's more of a fruit drink, coffee or tea place with a few extras than a full-scale restaurant. The passion fruit drink is wonderful. Free wi-fi.
It seems to think of itself as a health-conscious type place, all a bit muesli and yoghurt-ish, however there is a menu with some normal food on it. It doesn't sell beer but they allowed us to bring our own from a nearby Chinese food court, which was good of them.
We liked it for a passing drink, but ended up choosing other places for full meals. I hope this doesn't do it down too much, just think of it as a pleasant cafe with friendly staff and a nice little oasis of calm, and you'll get the idea.

“Excellent chinese food”
Reviewed September 4, 2010

This a family run restaurant which is in the heart of Kuching tourist area. They serve dumplings, noodles, rice and a variety of juices and teas. There is free Wifi. The restaurant is decorated in Chinese ornaments such as opera masks and tea sets. The toilet is a squat but is clean. There are two tables outside on the street which is not too busy.
