one must go real early to get a place to sit at this coffeeshop. if you can't find a seat, most people are willing to share their table with you if you just ask.
the drinks served in this coffeeshop is gigantic in size.. you can ask for neslo which is nescafe with milo.

When I first came to Kuching, everyone was telling me 'Sarawak Laksa this, Sarawak Laksa that' so I thought I'd give it a go at the name I heard the most - Chong Choon Cafe.

They were incredibly busy and it took 5 minutes to get a seat which was a great sign but the food I got was...powder? The soup was ok but...it was lacking oomph. For all the hype surrounding this dish at Chong Choon I was very disappointed but if you don't believe me, by all means go try it out for yourself!

I can recommend a better place at Batu Tiga next to The Banquet.

An Ancient Chinese coffee shop which have some food stalls inside. Among the most famous definitely is the Kuching Laksa. The vermicelli in a laksa gravy soup is special with their homemade chili together with prawn. Please order a big bowl for those who like to eat extra prawn

Besides, we feel there is another stall in this shop which sell “Kolok Mee” which is very delicious also.

If you want to have a variety of hawker food this is one of the places to go. However be prepared to wait for a table as this is a very popular place. The laksa stall is one of the places to visit when you are there.
