The whole hostel is really nice and clean and there is a really homely atmosphere. Felt like I was just chilling in my house!

Free breakfast of toast and tea was great, and tea and coffee available all day. There are 3 different areas that you can hang out as well as a tv room. The dorm was the nicest I've stayed in. All the beds are on the floor, no bunks which is really nice as you get your own space. Nice clean sheets and clean towels when you need. Warm showers and clean bathrooms.

Location is good. Easy to walk to the riverfront, shops, restaurants and bus stop where you can catch a bus to the national parks or Orang Utan sanctuary.

The owner was really friendly and helpful, even when we arrived at midnight and needed help cleaning our bags ( due to an airport disaster), he was happy to help us out.

Thank you, really enjoyed my stay at Lodge 121 and would definitely return.

we check in on 25Oct and left on 28Oct morning.

you can let them know when u are arriving, and there will be a taxi driver picking you that cost RM24. the place was very neat and nice and bright. very clean too.

there's a small common table for you to have your breakfast (bread, butter, kaya), with coffee/tea and water any time.

the bed was comfy, however the walls are a little thin,so whenever other people or we are talking, we are able to hear some mumble here and there.

shower area was also clean acceptable.

the staff are also very friendly and nice. we wanted to go for dinner, and it was pouring madly, and they offer to send us there for a small amout of fee. (which is cheaper than the taxi).

to sum it up, it was a nice stay at this very nice and comfy place.

p/s: there's a nice cafe around the corner and the food they serve is nice.

Lodge 121 leaves nothing else to be desired. It really does tick all the boxes. Cheap dorm rooms with breakfast. Clean and functioning bathrpom facilities.

Also the layout is interesting as its 3-storeys high. The bedrooms are nice and cool with aircon and brightly coloured. Beds have real duvet covers and loads of plug sockets. Along with a cleaning service and free WIFI this place os exemplary. Maybe just a bigger common area. And although its only 10-15 min walk to the waterfront, would be nocer if it was a tad bit more central. But these are minor gripes. Book 121

Thanks.Lodge 121

We've stayed here for a week, and this place is very nice. You can walk to the center, to the buss, it is really close. The staff is very nice, and the rooms are clean. You can always drink some water, tea and coffee. I really liked this place to stay.

Lodge 121 leaves nothing to desire. Lodge 121 just nailed it. Bright, modern, spotless interior all around. Incredible friendly staff eager to help out where they can. Simple breakfast (white toast with great cocospaste, coffee and tea) to get you going and fresh towels and a clean room after a couple of days stay. The waterfront is a 5 minute walk, the busstation about 10 minutes. Seriously....the only tiny little downside might have been that wifi didn't work in our upstairs room. And come on...how big of a deal is that?

Highly recommended for travellers on a budget looking for a comfortable stay in Kuching.

Upon arrival you will be given a map of Kuching, and pointed out where the public buses leave from, how much they cost, and what times are the best times to go to the popular places like Semengoh orangutans, Bako, etc. You will receive recommendations as to where you can eat, etc.

They will take care of your laundry, take care of your luggage while you are overnighting elsewhere, and they will generally make you feel at home in their ultraclean, simple yet classy lodge.

My wife and I stayed in a double with private bath. Very reasonable, included free toast in the morning and coffee, tea, bottled water all day. As we came to find out the place is run by a group of longtime friends that seem to care very much for each other and their guests.

Great people, Great Lodge, Great stay!

Room Tip: The rooms on the road are a bit larger but they are hotter as they have giant windows. The rooms at...

The staff are without doubt the nicest people I have ever met in more than 9 months of traveling. After telling them my DSLR camera was stolen earlier during my trip, they let me use a DSLR camera of their own for the entire duration of my stay (6 nights)! Thanks again! They gave me a lot of advice on sights around Kuching as well.
Besides that the hostel is spotlessly clean, safe, good value for money and the rooms (I stayed in a single room) are a decent size and have airconditioning.
