Upon arrival you will be given a map of Kuching, and pointed out where the public buses leave from, how much they cost, and what times are the best times to go to the popular places like Semengoh orangutans, Bako, etc. You will receive recommendations as to where you can eat, etc.

They will take care of your laundry, take care of your luggage while you are overnighting elsewhere, and they will generally make you feel at home in their ultraclean, simple yet classy lodge.

My wife and I stayed in a double with private bath. Very reasonable, included free toast in the morning and coffee, tea, bottled water all day. As we came to find out the place is run by a group of longtime friends that seem to care very much for each other and their guests.

Great people, Great Lodge, Great stay!

Room Tip: The rooms on the road are a bit larger but they are hotter as they have giant windows. The rooms at the back have windows to the hallway but not outside, they are much cooler just a bit smaller.

The staff are without doubt the nicest people I have ever met in more than 9 months of traveling. After telling them my DSLR camera was stolen earlier during my trip, they let me use a DSLR camera of their own for the entire duration of my stay (6 nights)! Thanks again! They gave me a lot of advice on sights around Kuching as well.
Besides that the hostel is spotlessly clean, safe, good value for money and the rooms (I stayed in a single room) are a decent size and have airconditioning.

We stayed at Lodge 121 at the begin of July 2012 for 4 nights. We had a double room with attached bathroom and aircon. The room was clean and spacious. They cleaned our room after the second night. The staff was really friendly and helpfull when we planned our trips to Bako national park, Semenggoh and Damai beach. We really liked the fact that there was tea, coffee and fresh water the whole day for us accessible. We also had a airport pick-up what was perfect arranged.

We've been at the lodge for 3 night, the roon was simple but cleaned and comfortable. The atmosphere is cordial and warmy, guys at the reception have been always available and helpful. We had the bathroom ensuite but the shower has no curtains so when we had a shower water went everywhere! The breakfast is simple but good, usually guest serve by themselves and must clean dishes. We paid only 99RM per night that is very cheap, included breakfast. The position is not so good because you have to walk for 10 or 15 mins to gi to the center but it's a perfect solution to save money durin travel.
