Nice ambience for a catch up with old friends. 80% customers are foreign tourists thus the high price. I had orange juice which is nice. But the food.... See my pictures, you be the judge. P/s: WARNING Uncooked burnt & chicken is bad for you.

Nice waffles and coffees. By far the coffee that Nook serves suited me best during my day's in KK. Tried their waffles as well and it was good. Like that they have sweet potato chips serves alongside the sandwiches instead of normal commercial chips. Was in KK 2 weekends both for competitions and Nook meets my need for both savoury and sweets.

On first arrival, this place felt very welcoming and a nice escape from the usual K.K. eatery. We visited for breakfast on our last morning and were happy to finally have a good coffee. I ordered the fruity French toast and my friend ordered the breakfast tacos on the same order. The French toast arrived quickly and after waiting 5 mins for my friend’s meal I decided to start eating so that my dish was spoiled. 10 minutes later (15 mins after my dish initially arrived) I had finished my breakfast and still no tacos. When I approached the girl at the counter to enquire as to where my friend’s was, she was quite taken aback that I was asking, exclaiming ‘they are being made’. When I explained that I had finished my meal she once again just told me that the tacos are being made with no apology or even understanding that this is not really appropriate service when dining out together. I explained to her that it is usually expected that when you dine together, you eat together, meaning that meals arrive at the table at similar times. Again no apology. This left a sour taste in my mouth despite otherwise being a nice little cafe and I would suggest some improvements in service to bring it up to par.

This is a nice cafe in the backpacker area of Jalan Dewan. The whole street is now becoming a hipster hangout and this cafe is no exception.

Nice interior and ambiance. If you are looking for a break from the typical asian fare of KK, this cafe is one to consider. And the latte is not bad too.
