“cold and salty so called fried noodle”
Reviewed November 13, 2013

went for breakfast and ordered a plate of Beaufort seafood fried noodle. less than 5 minutes came out a plate of so called fried noodle with only sliced fish. no prawns and squids. noodle is cold and salty. only fish slice is warm. the gravy so thick as if im eating noodle soup. felt very thirsty after having that meal.

“Beaufort style noodle place”
Reviewed June 5, 2013

This is one of the places where you get Beaufort style noodle. I quite like it with lots of green (vegetable is rather cheap in Sabah since Kundasang area grows a lot of it) and some meat (pork) on top of the clear gravy/sauce fried noodle. It is conveniently located at Gaya Street which is right in the center of town. There are other local dishes too which you have to wait longer. These days a lot of tourist eating there too.

It is reasonably price for KK standard. I do admit.... some of the food there could be a tad salty for their liking hence it is debatable on taste wise.

“Salty”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

Salty food and quite pricy also, maybe we ordered the wrong things. I have read the restaurant to be cheap and this is the reason we tried it. But the bill came out of expectations, the only conclusion that we draw is that we may have ordered differently. Nevertheless, the food is just ok, and most of the dishes were salty.

“Bargain”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

New Man Tai is a simple, straightfoward chinese restaurant in the heart of Gaya Street that is dirt cheap - RM15 for two (2 mains, 2 teas) including a 3RM tip for lunch.
We had chicken, greens and rice, and also beef, greens and noodles. Fresh and sufficient.

They had enough English to explain the menu, patiently waiting for us to make up our minds (not like some places that just end up ignoring us)

Can't go wrong

“Quick”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

My family enjoys the food here. I too enjoy the food here. They're really generous on the portion and ingredient and not to forget, they are really good cooks. They have quick service and serves up the most awesome prawn omelette.
