Comparing this hotel to others in Borneo, this is expensive, however it is worth every penny! With a gorgeous pool and superb service we could not fault this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our last few days in luxury! The bed was the biggest we have ever seen and the shower / bathroom was amazing, with its own telephone by the toilet! Superb location to KK town and the markets. Be aware of the huge gaps between the pavement and the road by the market - could take a nasty tumble, but this has nothing to do with the hotel!

Right on the harbor walk and with an superb view of the South Chinese Sea Le Meridien is a great choice in KK. The rooms and the hall ways smelled very moldy. I got a terrible cold because of the AC which was either to cold or to warm in the room and also smelled rather fungusy...
The room had a great view and a nice bathroom and comfy bed. I have been in a lot of Le Meridien hotels all over the world and somehow this is not how I perceive this brand of hotels. But while in KK this is probably your best choice. Do go to the market in front of the hotel and one of the many, many excellent restaurants in KK.

Room Tip: When staying here - pay extra for a sea view and for access to the club lounge.

We stayed at this hotel for our winter holiday. Overall we enjoyed the hotel. To be honest, the hotel is a bit run down and could definitely use a renovation.

However, this should come at no surprise as every single review had commented. This is precisely - just a hotel, not a resort, so you either have to live with it for its location and convenience, or just pay up and stay in a resort.

Staff were nice and friendly here. Food is just good to ok, but I do love the fresh squeezed juice. However, my biggest disappointment is the swimming pool. It's tiny, doesn't get much sun, and it smells like the fish market across the street. If you're looking for a relaxing, sun and beach, kids-friendly holiday, Le Meridien is might not be your best option. If you're looking for an active holiday and does not plan to spend time in the hotel other than sleeping, this is just fine.

Me & my hubby stayed at Le Meridien for 3D & 2N on 17DEC12.
Good thing about this hotel is its location at the heart of KK town .
Breakfast was good as there were varieties of food & drinks served, especially their fruit juices.

Highly recommend this hotel to all not only because of the location but also its friendly staff.

Hotel was old, room dated, but very clean and service was exemplary. I stayed in seaview suite connected to a club room.
I was so impressed by the customer service in the lounge. Was having drinks with my family in the lounge one evening when the female staff promptly added a chair when she saw my uncle standing.
Was due to check out later this afternoon for shangrila tanjung aru. So far we are wowed by the customer service we encountered in this hotel throughout our 4 days 3 nites stay.
Unfortunately, the 10 /10 score was discounted this morning by a waitress from the coffee house. I was halfway feeding my children when she popped out and declared that i had to make payment for my children's' breakfast. We told her that they were included in our package and we have been having our breakfast there since wednesday morning with no issues. We asked her to check it out first. Well, she did not revert back to me after my meal and we just left. I am upset with her asking for billing when i am halfway thru meals. She should at least wait for us to finish or the most easier way is to check out all her facts before approaching us since she has our room number. I hate it when the start of a day was spoiled by mercenary people. So, general manager of this hotel, there goes your 5 stars.

Room Tip: Ask for seaview and club. I love the club lounge more. Wish i could sleep there

This could be a very good hotel. Is a great location, right by the waterfront and excitement of the day and night markets. It took me barely 10 minutes to reach the airport. Rooms are a good size, and bar and restaurant decent. It is let down by tired and dirty furniture in rooms. While my linen had been laundered, it was stained and the mattress pad was badly stained. The sofa was dirty and the desk battered. If some money and care was put into updating furniture and linen I'd be very happy here- service was great. Not a hard one to sort I think!

We were a big noisy group of 6 adults and 5 kids. We were in 3 sea-facing, deluxe, connecting rooms. Rooms and bathrooms were impressively huge.
Buffet breakfast was awesome with such a wide variety. Staff was friendly and prompt. Location was ideal. Night market, shopping centre, night pubs and cheap local food was all right there. Near to airport too.
We were there for 4 days. Stay was great with no issues. Will strongly recommend this hotel and will definitely go there again. Thanks and well-done Le Meridien KK!
