“Great natural hot spring”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

This is a must go place when you are in Sabah. It is a great place for sightseeing and to enjoy the flora and fauna as well as the natural hot spring. Make sure you wear a good walking shoe and bring clothes for change if you want to enjoy the natural hot spring. They have both open bath which is free of charge and private bath which is chargeable at RM 30 per hour. The entrance fee to Poring Hot Spring for foreign guest is RM 15 per person. You can also access Kinabalu National Park for free by showing this ticket at the Park entrance.

“Please lower your expectation! Just enjoy the view!”
Reviewed March 27, 2013

I'd come to this place everytime I visited Kota Kinabalu. Do not expect a natural pool of bubbling hot water but just enjoy the sensation of soaking your feet in hot water surrounded by the lush & green view. What I most enjoyed was the canopy walkway where you can experience amazing view from the treetop.

“Not what we expected”
Reviewed March 25, 2013 via mobile

We did a day trip expecting to see bubbling waters or mud pools. The springs are only a pipe discharging into a roped off concrete pond.
The sky walk is exceptional and worth it
The public baths ( 2 persons per ) would take a month of Sundays to fill. Best use the swimming pool fed by cool river water rather than spring water.
There are locker facilities. For valuables but you have to change in the small toilet blocks with wet floor etc. this could be improved on.
Dine outside the resrve for inexpensive meals rather than the high priced restaurant inside.

“Not our thing”
Reviewed March 10, 2013 via mobile

Public hot springs with basic facilities that were just about clean. One restaurant on site that was ok and a rainforest canopy walk that was definitely the best activity on site. Just not our thing - too many people and nothing special by way of facilities.

“Too much hype”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

Sadly the hot springs didn live up to our expectation. We thought it would be a natural oasis. Instead it was concrete tubs. We thought we would at least soak ourselves in it. But seeing the condition of the tubs, we decided to skip it. The canopy walk was the main highlight though. Walking between the treetop was an amazing experience was worth the extra bucks. The canopy walk made the trip to the springs a bit more worthwhile.
