“Authentic Indian food”
Reviewed November 10, 2013 via mobile

We were staying at the Rasa Ria so visited this restaurant during our holiday. The choice was good and the food delicious with large portions that we were unable to finish!
The staff are friendly and informative.
This seemed a popular restaurant with other residents.

“Amazing Flavours - fantastic meal(s)!”
Reviewed October 26, 2013

We ate here 3 times while staying at the hotel! The flavours in this restaurant are awesome. If you like indian food you must try here. It's not full of typical tikka massalas, vindaloos etc but the meal options are amazing.

You get free poppadums, plain and spicy and 3 dips to start

Starters from the tandoor oven are really nice. We had the mixed meat platter one night, tiger prawns and chicken on another and the prawns again plus a lamb dish. You can have these dishes as a starter or main. The curries are full of flavour, nann breads not too thick, nicely and again full of flavour. We tried some of the vegetable dishes and again really nice.

We were about £100 for the 2 of us each time, with drinks to start, a bottle of wine, a large bottle of water, 2 starters, 2 mains, a rice, 2 naans and a vegetable dish, very good value for money.
Try the Murg Tikka Masala (chicken) and Jhinga Lazeese (prawn) both amazing main courses.

We ate both inside the restaurant and out, although out is still within the hotel, outside probably was nicer.

There was a really bad thunderstorm one of the nights we ate here and the hotel went into darkness except Naan and the Japanese restaurant - the staff asked Naan to turn off their ovens until they got the electric back up again - we didn't have to wait too long for our food but they gave us 50% off which I think we overlay generous as you can't help nature but just proves the niceness of the Malaysian people.

I think the fact we ate here 3 times in a 6 night stay says a lot.

“Delicious Naan!”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

We spent a week at the Shangri-La's Rasa Ria Resort and dined at Naan on two occassions - our first and last night. The food on both nights was fantastic. The mixed veggie platter starter was fab. I had a fish curry the first night and a lamb rogan josh on the last night - both amazing. We also had a number of mango lassi's which were to die for! It's a really nice restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and out of the five restaurants at the resort it probably is the best overall. On our first visit it was the night after I celebrated my 40th birthday and after dinner the staff brought me a birthday cake and sang 'happy birthday' to me... a really nice gesture which I thoroughly appreciated. Together with the delicious food it made for a memorable experience.

“Great food - but no butter chicken!”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

We ate at Naan twice during our 7 days at Rasa Ria. The food is very tasty, and the service is good. However, there was no butter chicken on the menu - a favourite Indian dish in our household. My young daughter found her kid's meal a little on the spicy side, too.

“One of the best meals we ate in Borneo, delicious curry house.”
Reviewed August 30, 2013

We thoroughly enjoyed Naan. We preferred it to the street style restaurant and the Coffee Terrace (although they were both good too) and we felt the quality of food in Naan was terrific.

The prices were reasonable and we liked that they had a decent choice for children.

Tasty curry and popadoms served with delicious home made chutneys.

We would highly recommend!
