Well we stayed for 3nights and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Nice hotel, exceptionally clean was a bit noisy due to some ongoing going construction work. Otherwise awesome. Rooms beautifully done up and had excellent buffet breakfast. Location very central to jetty for island hopping etc.

Room Tip: The sea view rooms had a spectacular view of the ocean

I stayed with my husband and daughter in August 2012. We had a lovely stay. The hotel was clean and centrally located, near to the waterfront and shopping centres. All the staff were efficient, helpful and extremely friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spacious, especially for three, much bigger than the majority of hotel bedrooms. The decor was trendy and modern, especially the bathroom. The lovely white fluffy bathrobes were a nice touch, especially useful for going down to the pool which was lovely and not overcrowded at all. The breakfast was great value for money, with plenty of choice for everyone. The cafe/bistro do a fantastic Wagu steak - amazing! We would definitely recommend this hotel for families and would stay there again.

Stayed at Hyatt KK for 1 night on business trip. Upon arrival I was a bit apprehensive as the lobby and coffee house area looked a bit dated. However, after checking in the room (booked a standard room) was very pleasantly surprised as room is very well furnished with modern concept furnishings and nice bathroom too. Room rate is inclusive of breakfast.

Location wise is right next to a shopping mall and bars. Highly recommended especially to business travellers. Hotel staff were friendly and apparently hotel rooms were refurbished 2 years ago. Overall with the quality of room and location this hotel offers value for money.

Room Tip: Standard room is nice enough.

I stayed here for 19 nights for a business trip. Really loved my stay here. From outside/ lobby, the hotel looked a bit tired and outdated, but once you're inside the room, it was really nice and comfortable. I was in club room facing the sea so i might be bias tho ;).
Location wise was good (walking distance to restaurants and pasar filipino). Right in front of Kentucky and nearby Burger King.
i ordered room service few times, and the food taste and quality did not dissapoint.
Overall, i had a very pleasant stay and would not hesitate to recomment this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for Seaview rooms

I got a 9th floor deluxe room. When I came in I was impressed, well sized, recently renovated, and modern design. But then came the disappointments.

There is no bathtub, only a shower, no this is not a 3-star hotel this is a Hyatt!? Never saw a hotel room in this grade with no bathtub.

Housekeeping is terrible; at first I just realized the missing touches. There was no pen or pencil in the entire room, and there was no tooth brush either. But, I later realized that this was the small problems.

When I was ready to retire, I was shocked to see that the bed linen was simple dirty.
This was not a stain; it was dirt you could touch and feel! And if that wasn’t enough, the bed was full of human hair!
I don’t know if the linen wasn’t changed at all, or the replaced it with dirty ones.
I had to call twice until it was changed.
I tried to photograph the stain, but with my BB it is not so clear, anyhow you can see the hair and the housekeeping changing the linen.

Internet is only 1 hour free, and then you have to pay 20 MYR for 4 hours, or 30 MYR per day.

The hotel looked unappealing from outside as it didn't have a grand driveway; but once you were inside, it's OK. Porter service was efficient and good and we could leave some of our luggage under their care while we hiked Mt. KK with minimal carry-on.

As we stayed for 2 separate nights during our 4-day stay in KK, we got to live in two different types of room. The first stay was in a traditional room with window facing the adjacent building for parking, no view but the room was spacious and with good design and layout, with amenities that served the purpose.

The second stay was in a room with open bath concept plus a balcony overlooking the atrium. The room was also spacious but the design of the bathroom was so impractical that it was a bit annoying. The marble basin in the middle was obstructing entrance into the bathroom which meant you had to completely push open the two sliding doors before you could enter comfortably. Splashing water from the washing basin will wet the bedroom floor if the sliding doors were left open. The kettle stand was fixed in a drawer that it was not convenient to use and you couldn't close the sliding door when making coffee or tea.

The scaffolding supporting the canopy inside the atrium was hanging down onto some of the balconies, so if you went out in the night (when it was dark) you might bump your head onto one of the beams. In the morning, one could hear the clinking of cutlery from below the atrium where breakfast was being served. It would be perfect if the design of this particular room type could be modified and improved.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms facing the atrium and request a traditional room instead of the open bath concept.
