Newly renovated hotel. Checked in just after midnight... Very tired, the access to the hotel was not designed for a wheel chair, nevertheless not to worry no damage done.
Booked for a bigger room , came with my son... room was huge.. the rest room (toilet dah) was OKU or for the physically challenge... I gave a 9/10...The hot shower was great...

Morning bfast day 1 challenge myself to climb more then 10 sets to the coffee house with a great view of the sea..... B fast OK,, next two days they had my bfast send to the room...BUSY WORKING no day trips sightseeing.. too bad

Room Tip: Good location near to the IKAN KERING (DRIED FISH) Market..

Room: The room are spacious and large. It has a ideal lighting and also a comfortable sofa near the window. My room is DELUXE which is a SEAVIEW room. Fantastic view on the sunset just in front the South China Sea. The aircon encounter some problem and hotel had clarify that it due tot he chiller which still in service. Anyway the room temperature acceptable.

Minibar: the room provide the fridge but EMPTY. hahahahaa is ok.. as i also seldom consume the minibar except of course instant coffee and tea.

Bathroom - spacious, Clean and clear. Shower rain separated with the bathtub... and exciting is I can watch TV direct from the bathtub as the bathroom walls are GLASS.. hahaha.. complete shower cap, razor and even toothbrush.

Location: just located opposite of CENTRE POINT SABAH which is the major shopping mall located at heart of the town of KK. The hotel location had many convenient store, shops and even restaurant around.

Service - Staff is friendly and smile always. Very helpful when I request information

Value: Price a little bit expensive. As a 3 star hotel, the price might high a bit however the price pay off as it located at walking distance to major shopping area. Wifi free at my room and excellent connection.

F&B: Available and of course limited choices. However the foods quality are nice. I take double plate during the breakfast. The pricing of food are at reasonable price.

Room Tip: Higher room gives excellent view

A huge hotel building after renovation, only fractionally used by now. Spacious and clean rooms, fitted somewhat haphazardly (e.g. with lamps not matching the room's power sockets). Some furniture items like armchairs are unusually nice and comfortable for that kind of hotel. Service satisfactory even if sometimes erratic. Internet in rooms is working, though with ups and downs.
No meals included in room rates - thus their restaurant remained a mystery.
Their location in the city seems just perfect.

All in all, good enough for a decent short stay business hotel - but perhaps not good enough for their rates.

Stayed here in the month of February. Very clean and spacious room. Close to many convenience store and shopping area is less than 10 min walk. Breakfast spread could hv been better, but the "sambal" of the nasi lemak was superb! All in all had a good time staying there.

I stayed at this hotel a few times (the last being in 3 months prior this review).

The rooms are adequately sized, ample for the price actually. Flat screen TVs, fridge, room safe, water kettle, iron and wifi came with the room. All you need for a business trip. The beds are ok, comfortable enough for a good sleep. The central AC may be a bit dry at times, but they work.

During my trips the cafe had not started operations (they told me that they have something planned). Plus point is that the hotel is centrally located in Warisan Sq, with lots of restaurants and cafes.

The front desk seemed to be manned 24 hours; I had checked in as late as 1:30am and checked out as early as 4:30am.

A good place to base yourself when you need to be in KK.

As the location and the price, nothing I can complain about. 2 convenience stores nearby, night market only one street to cross.Although the cleanliness can be better, daily clean job is not so good but acceptable. I will recommend it!

Klagan used to be the old Imperial International. I didn't think much of the imperial but the new management appears to be much better. Very clean. Very large rooms, comfortable. Love the big shower heads . Everything in the room works. Superb location (you could jump across the little street and land in Centrepoint Shopping Centre. Walking distance to great watering holes and shopping. What's not to like?
