“Great atmosphere, great food, great value”

Night Market, Kota Kinabalu

Best part was the choice of eateries.

Pick your own fish from the counter - all caught within past 24 hours - and have it cooked to your taste.

Largest tiger prawns ever !!

Great taste and flavours.

But - don't get too precious about the washing up arrangements!! We saw it after we ate the food, definitely the best way!

The noodles are great, the seafood is hit and miss. The market is a large amount of the same thing. The quality of the market compared to Hong Kong or china is poor.

The highlight of KK for us, the night market has so much charm and atmosphere it really is a gem. Unlike the fake 'for tourist' markets this is very much for locals. The food is very tasty , fresh and cheap (large tuna steak for RM7, two skewers of king prawns for RM10, chicken fried rice for RM 5) and the craft market next door is also worth a look. A must see while you are here.

Great place to have cheap and fresh seafood. I did had a big Red Snapper grilled with vegetable and rice for approx 6 Euro. Liked this place !

There are no words but YUM when it comes to the KK Night Market. Everything was really cheap and really tasty. We went nearly every night that we were there because it was just so cheap! And you get a lot more than you expect too. I ordered some chicken fried rice and I got this HUGE portion. It was absolutely deeeelicious (:
