We have been traveling for a long while now and this place gave us a friendly, welcoming hello the first day we walked along the promenade in KK. When you take a walk from the wet market towards the bars, you are approached bay the servants of the bars and restaurants a long the shore, each one of them kind (not too pushy like in other countries), yet annoying before you reach "Hito" at the end of the pear as it is built right now (2011).
We walked there on a sunday while the sun was setting. Suddenly we heard music - jazz music: live. That drew our attention.
We ordered some cocktails and listen to the music while the sun left for other place then Sabah. Happy hour was (from 5 pm till 9 pm and other specials) just an ad on. We did not try the food they have (because we had found a lovely place we write about in an other article), but we worked our way through the cocktail menu and were very satisfied.
The staff made the difference. "Paris" our 18 year old waiter and his boss were authentically, nice and very service oriented.
For you world travelers out there: trop bye and hang out with a sip while you surf the net (for free) watching those fisherman prepare for there night out on the ocean.
See you around in friendly KK
