Description: This is a classic favourite with KK locals. They've been open for many years and won the Sabah Tourism "best Kopitiam" restaurant twice now. But they've just moved their restaurant into downtown and should now be included in the visitor listings. It's absolutely one of the best places to eat in KK.

Went there for Nasi Lemak Kak Nong and a Glass of Teh C Special with Ice, was very "surprise" by the total bill, paid RM9 for just 2 items. RM4 for Nasi Lemak and RM5 for the drink! Service was quite good, Nasi Lemak was just OK, nothing to yell about. Will not return.

First time I ate in this restaurant is not where it is now. It was then quite far fr city centre where not many people knew about it. After it moved to the city centre, what changed is the service. Despite quite a number of waitress, it will take some time for them to take ur order. Don't mention bringing ur order in. Don't come during lunch time. U'll have to wait 15-20 min for ur food. Anyway, the food was delicious and in a big portion. But I could say the price is wayyyy to pricey.

I was the regular customer since their old venue at Jln Bundusan, I love the bun which is baked fresh daily. However, the service especially order from menu either food or drinks is very slow. You have to wait around 15-30 min.
Now in the new location at Jln Coastal, their service shall be rated from bad to worst. Imagine you have to wait for just a 'Soto' beef noodle for almost an hour. It happen all the times. Its really frustrating. I notice there are some customers left their table almost 45min of waiting. To add salt to the frustration, the staff are not smiling at all, show square face all the time. Its like customers really trouble them, even there are times they pretend not seeing you try to make order. I am not sure how Kak Nong can retain the 'best kopitiam' in town with such terrible service. Definitely I will not recommend or bring any guests to this restaurant. Today, will be my last visit to this restaurant.

We were staying at the Pacific Sutera.
This is a very easy walk from the marina complex and is open for all meals all day. Closes early on sunday nights around 8pm.

We had a very patient waiter who spoke good english, however we were still not sure what we ordered, bit sometimes that is the fun of it. We got some great meals and lovely drinks.

There didn't seem to be any other tourists in this restaurant, heavily populated by what looked to be locals... we will be back. prices very good, certainly in comparison to the marina!!
