“Excellent western asian fusion buffet”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2013

With 2 teenagers and 2 adults we decided to try the western buffet at The Circle at Le Meridien in Kota Kinabalu. Right decission! It was everything you wanted from different Asian dishes, superb pizza and grilled meat to some Italian lasagna, great moussaka. We started with choosing several appetizers such sashimi and Caesar salad and ended with creme caramel, chocolate fountain with strawberries and awesome bread and butter cake. To that some tasty red wine from Chile. One of our best buffets.

“Half off weekend lunch buffet for senior citizens”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2013

The restaurant, located in the Le Meridien Hotel, was showcasing Vietnamese cuisine when we ate there. It's an excellent buffet with lots of variety, with half off for senior citizens over 55 on the weekend, which makes it a real bargain.

“Disappointing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2012

One rainy evening we decided to try the restaurant at Le Meridien and ate the house specialty of Hainan Chicken and pizza for my daughter. Both dishes were very disappointing. The chicken was too dry and the pizza was mostly cheese. I kept thinking this cost seven times as much as the coffee shop across the street but wasn't as good.

“Circle a la Carte”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 24, 2012

We ate at the Circle Restaurant at Le Meridien when we didn't fancy venturing out one very wet evening and were pleasantly surprised. The staff tried to entice us to take the buffet, but buffet for dinner is not our thing. However there was a lavish choice and it looked to be of excellent quality. Unlike other buffet restaurants in general it was very civilised and although it was the school holidays there were no marauding hoards of children savaging the food - one of the reasons we don't like buffets! Anyway we opted for the a la Carte menu which offered a good choice of local and international fare. We all chose Malaysian dishes which were well presented and tasty. Service was as ever very attentive and the waiter and waitress taking care of us were delightful. Who knows on our next visit to Le Meridien we might even try the buffet as it did seem a cut above.

“Typical hotel buffet”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 26, 2011

An extensive set of dishes are served for breakfast and dinner. Taste is above average, but nothing special. Service is decent, but can be very ordinary at busy times. Food has a habit of running out, so you need to get there early during the buffet times.
