We had a good hunch about this operation as soon as we got our first email from Joanne explaining the process of getting scuba certification. Her correspondence was clear, informative and a major confidence builder.
Their on the ground execution matched what was promised in writing.
First and foremost, we were assigned, Ian, an English bloke who seemed like he couldn't be happier anyplace else but on our boat transforming us into bonafide scuba divers. He was at once- a teacher, an entertainer and a friend. His teaching style was thorough, helpful and encouraging. My wife had a bit of trepidation at the start and Ian's easygoing nature dissolved any concern from that point on.
Our group was 3 people and they tell us they max out a four people for these classes. For anyone shopping around, ASK how any people are in the class, as we saw groups of 8-12 people which would have been a total drag, both in terms of too much time and not enough attention.
The scuba equipment was high quality, we lunched away from crowds, our dives were fun and exciting.
Hopefully, you will be lucky enough to snag Ian as your instructor…he has been in KK for 19 years and has effectively taught the next generation of scuba teachers! We got the master!!!!
