“Not my first choice”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 19, 2013 via mobile

The restaurant wasn't my first choice, but we were hungry! When we got there, we were obviously the last in, and were treated as such - this made us feel uncomfortable throughout our meal. I have to say that the meal in itself was good quality and was obviously cooked fresh for us, but for me, this was over-ridden by the fact that they made us feel uncomfortable from the off-set. If this doesn't bother you, and you like seafood, then I'd say, give it a bash.

By the way, it doesn't serve alcohol, or they didn't serve it for us anyway.

“Good fresh seafood”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2013

We had two light lunches here and enjoyed the food very much. You can select live seafood from their tanks and have it cooked to order, and served with rice, stir fried vegetables and complimentary pickled vegetables, chopped chilli, chopped garlic and soy sauce so that you can season to taste. Try the prawns steamed in ginger - wonderfully moist and full of flavour.

“Fresh”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 11, 2013

Saw this place on the way back to the Shangri-La and decided to try it out last night. Menu was in english and had a large variety of seafood choices although when we were there not all choices were available. We had the flower prawns, soft shell crab in salt and pepper, garlic rice and asian greens. They had a large variety of fruit juices available and also sold fresh coconuts which were great for 5RM. After dinner we were given free fresh fruit which was a great bonus. All in all we payed 100RM for four large serves of food, two beers, a diet coke and a whole coconut. We were the only western table there as the place was filled with Chinese tourists. Service was ok, we were left to wait a little to order but the food defiantly made up for this. There was also a cutlural show taking place on a small stage. They went around to tables offering us to have a go at some dancing so that too was a bonus. If you are looking for some good seafood give this place a go!

“stunning fresh fish/seafood”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

Volumes of fish and seafood well presented and tasty. OK it was the most expensive dish on the menu but well worth the price and staff members were attentive. Lobster was to die for and the amount of protein helped the 'calorie counting' without feeing too full? Pleased to be staying only 5 nights! Excellent fare to be recommended.
