Me and a few girlfriends decided to get out of town and relax, hence we chose this place. Unfortunately, it was a bad idea.....
First their front office staff has no idea how their room sizes and layout are, gave us a room that can't fit an extra bed when it was clear that there was 3! Of us!
Next, because is was ramadhan months.... Their karaoke lounge was closed? Why promote free karaoke in the package if it's not going to be open???
By 8am the pool area is closed, guests can't even have a stroll outside?!?!?! Ridiculous... Anyway I would give thumbs up to a certain bellboy, mr.joe he was an excellent help and made the stay a little better.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone!

No doubt its a nice place. The golf course and the pool view from our room was great. This place makes me feel that im verrrry far from the city (though KL is just 30 mins or so drive) .. this place is sooo quiet, almost empty. There's no happening here. its dead place.

Having experienced several Marriott establishments, including the one in Putrajaya for various occasions, it's quite disappointing to see that the management has not paid much attention to quality and maintenance.

We once experienced well appointed, large rooms with very comfortable beds and sufficient amenities, but now the furniture and decor seems dated, bed was lumpy / springy, and obvious signs of wear and tear all around. Coffee and tea in the room are cheap sachets (10 years ago perhaps it would've been okay but the hotel's in competition with others in its class now!), and bathroom towels are beginning to thin out.

The hotel though caters for large events and conference so we guess it kind of works for organizers and guests who just need a place to stay in for shorter periods but imagine the business and positive sentiments they can reel in if a decision for design and service turnaround could be made.

We expected better service as well and though we received the standard polite service at front desk, we were disappointed that the same person didn't accord similar service to one of the guests who came downstairs to get help for her in-house safebox. The immediate assumption taken by the personnel was one of "it must've been YOUR fault." Look, it's not the Four Seasons, we know, but what happened to simple, efficient service with a smile?

Food-wise, nothing much to shout about but breakfast is a good spread. We attended a wedding dinner here recently too (but didn't stay in) and well, we've unfortunately tasted better spreads. Some dishes were ok, one or two outstanding but overall, it evens out or overall rating. It was OK.

We do hope the Management will consider revamping important aspects of the hotel and its people soon. It's ok but it can do much, much better. At least, even if there's not much to do around this area, guests can truly enjoy the hotel and heck, may even be willing to pay for an extended stay because of the experience.

The only thing I remembered about my stay was the bad service I received at Putrajaya Marriott's Reception. My friend had a headache and we went to enquire at Reception. Yes, they did have Panadol and they were charging us RM5 for ONE tablet! Imagine that! So, we decided to drive to the nearest shop to get Panadol since we refused to pay the exorbitant price. As parking was free for in-house guests, we went to get our car park ticket validated. 2 very rude, unsmiling ladies at Reception informed us that free parking is for in-house guests only. And, they rudely asked us for our room numbers. Unbelieveable. Did they think that we were going to cheat them?

We did enjoy the breakfast spread at the Zest restaurant and also the rooms which were quite large and comfortable.

Would I go back? Definitely NO.

Location of this place is strange. Built out in a palm tree forest it seems that they hoped the area will develop and prosper and it sort of didn't...

I was here for a conference and the facilities for events are fantastic. It was an excellent conference and I would choose to host it there again, and will recommend it for any large corporate or private function.

Rooms are original and need a renovation. Not really up to the Marriott brand expectation, especially compared to the Marriott in KL city just down the road.

I didn't use any other hotel facilities except for the room and breakfast.

Breakfast was nice with a huge selection of eastern and western choices.

Room Tip: Excellent conference/ function venue. If you need to stay in this area for work, try something else...

Its not always that I get bolwed over by a property, but the Marriott Putrajaya did that. From the time I walked in looking lost, I got help from the duty manager who was conveniently seated in front of the entrance to the lovely buffet lunch and the pleasant staff.

I don't usually like big places, but the Marrott just begs for me to do a walkabout....Having said that though, its still pretty far from anywhere, but it IS a resort out of the city.

Having to irganise a seminar is usually pretty tough, but at this place, we got what we wanted when we wanted them and that makes things easy.

Did I say anything about the food at Zest? One could easily put on weight with the kind of spread they had.

Would it be a place we'd all come back to? Most definitely.

The typical Malaysian hotel is nice when it is new and then goes downhill quickly - with personnel turning over rapidly and little reinvestment in maintenance. But the Marriott Putrajaya has managed to keep its standards up although the hotel is about 10 years old.

Very good service at the front desk and also at Zest restaurant - one of the only complementary breakfast buffets we have truly enjoyed, with quality ruling over quantity. Excellent recognition of us as repeat guests by the staff, many of whom actually seem to like their jobs and have long tenure. Only downside is that the hotel was occasionally mobbed with conference guests and group tours, but the hotel cannot be responsible for guests' lack of etiquette.

Rooms are large; free high-speed internet; decent TV channel selection. Shuttle service to KLCC which is quite far away. Shuttle service is contracted out and the service provider is not as guest-friendly as they should be.
