We walked through the city to take a look at the street art and saw this restaurant had a high rating on trip advisor. It is located at the beginning of our trip so we decided to have lunch here. We were welcomed by a very friendly man (I think the owner) who showed us a table and took our order. The menu contained only one dish: laksa, and several drinks or smoothies. So not a lot of choice but the laksa was defenitly worth it. Very tasty and a bit spicy, maybe too spicy if you don't like it but I'm sure that can be less if you say it beforehand. Overall very good food, friendly service, and a great location, so I definitely recommend this place!

We had there the fishballs and the famous laksa: tasty and nicely spicy! We felt more than welcome by the owners, so nice!
Have a stop there, it’s worth it!

The Assam Laksa can only be described as a mouth party. Amazing flavours. The mackerel isn't fishy at all. All the flavours cascade into one delicious mouthful. With silky soft noodles.

We walked in and were served immediately by the friendly owners. The menu is not extensive but we ordered their specialties of Penang Laksa, fishballs, as well as fried belachan chicken wings. The Laksa was delicious although I would prefer a more full-bodied broth. The fishballs were enjoyably tasty and swimming in a more robust and delicious assam sauce. The belachan chicken wings were the best I have ever tasted. Crispy, aromatic and juicy on the inside, I had to stop myself from ordering more. I would definitely return just for those chicken wings again.

Only for foreigners who don’t know how Char Koay Teow and Assam Laksa should taste like. Their version is far from the real deal.

Dear Saikitng,
Thanks for your feedback but we would really love to know in further what version is the perfect one for the local. In your comment you didn’t mention about how our food taste like or if there’s anything that we can improve on. We welcomed all our customer to give us feedback in terms of taste of our food, services or anything that we can improve on. But to randomly giving us 1 Star without further elaborate on anything in details really don’t do us justice. For you it’s just 1 star but for us it’s everything on the table (our cafe reputation and branding). I believe I did asked you about the quality of our food but you totally didn’t say anything at all. We don’t mind to get negative feedback as that would makes us even want to improve even better. Anyway, we would like to apologise if we can’t fulfill your criteria on your taste bud and services.
