“Good old clocktower”

Jubilee Clock Tower
Reviewed July 23, 2013

Good that we saw it, but don't cry if you don't get there - it's just a clocktower. Nice architecture and looks like it is maintained well. So take a look if you have some time to spare or if you happen to use the ferry out of Georgetown - it's near to the pier.

It's historical as it commemorates Queen Victoria's reign. It shows correct time and is quite beautiful in a way that you look at old historical building. Nevertheless, it is a clock tower at the middle of a busy roundabout. Take a few shots as you pass by. That's it.

It's near Ft. Cornwallis at a very busy intersection on Lebuh Light street downtown. You canot go inside. Built in 1897 to commeemorate Queen Victoria's 60th year rein, the Clock Tower stands 60-feet tall. It's worth a little time to see it and take a photo.

it is located in such a location where you can not really stop and appreciate it as it is a busy roundabout. it is a challenge to get into it and maybe read about it or even take photo with it without disrupting traffic or getting hit in the process. barely have time to check if the clock actually works - it is just there and it is just something you pass by.

The clock tower is in good repair, and looked newly painted, the clock told the correct time for Penang. The salutation to Queen Victoria's Jubilee was easily legible.
