serene place with a lot of souvenirs shops. Thai temple is situated just opposite so that if one visited there you can visit two places must go in Penang. Location is not so far from downtown.

Take your time walking around the temple and surrounding grounds. Receive a blessing from a monk in the main temple. A small donation is welcomed.

Entrance is free for all temples in Penang. It is nice place to kill time and relax but nothing fancy. Once you've seen a buddha, you've seen them all.

Go early in the morning, before the coach tours arrive. The sun will be rising and you will get the best photos. Sit in the gardens and soak up the quiet.

Situated across the road from Thai temple. Very interesting place. Can spend a good hour there. Plenty of colourful statues, Buddha story in number of pictures on the walls
