“Great historical tour”
Reviewed March 4, 2013

The tour is highly recommended. The guide, I think his name is Paul, is very knowledgeable and conducted the tour with a lot of enthusiasm. Though the subject topic can be quite heavy, he had injected the tour with light hearted moments.

“Extremely Interesting”
Reviewed March 2, 2013

If you are in Georgetown, don't miss this attraction. We had an excellent English speaking guide, Paul, that made the history of this home come to life. Cheong was a very important wealthy business man who built this house, one of many he owned. This has been lovingly restored by a local family and is now a B & B. UNESCO awarded it the best restoration project several years ago and it continues to fascinate. visitors daily.

“Well worth the visit”
Reviewed March 2, 2013

This is certainly a fascinating and worthwhile visit.
The tour guide was in fact the lady who was involved in the restoration of this mansion. The facts and the anecdotes told by her held every tourist's attention. She was simply fantastic.
This mansion tour gives a very good insight into the customs and culture of the Chinese who has made good in those days.
Highly recommended

The best tour I have had in Malaysia, the guide was funny, witty, knowledgeable and interactive. You can learn so many things about the Chinese minority of Penang.
