Very nice view and scenery, and the tram up to penang hill is fun & good view, something like the tram to the peak in Hongkong.

With the introduction of the new train and upgraded track, the previous 30 minute trip now takes only 7 minutes. Pick a clear day when there are no Public or school holidays. It can also be very busy on the weekend. For the best experience, try and get into the first carriage for the downhill return.

Well worth a trip. The train trip is great and once at the top, magnificent views to be had. Short of time, so took a cart around with a very knowledgeable guide. Magnificent views over the city and most of the island.
