“Monkeys.....”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2013

I have just paid a brief visit to this garden after coming down from Penang Hill. It was a free entry and we were greeted by grey monkey just outside the gate. They were hanging on the trees and further inside, there were more macaque monkey running freely in the garden. Although the sign board strictly advise visitor not to feed them, there were a number of visitor could not help themselves but to feed them peanuts and others.

The trees are old and it is full of greeneries. There was a Orchid Farm and Fern Centre. Only the orchid farm can be visited but managed by a business owner. Well, those who like greens... this place is the right place....

“Amazing place in George town”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 28, 2012

Go there if you are looking for a big park where everywhere. Enjoying the nature (running, walking, picnic...) and the landscape is beautiful. Also is a place where you will see a lot of monkeys everywhere and you can do some shorts paths around the mountain.

“Worth a trip”

Worth a trip to this serene garden. The tram ride is worthless, instead walk around and the orchid shop is a must see. Combine the trip with Georgetown or Penang Hill.

“Monkeys!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 23, 2012

The monkeys were the highlight for me. There are lots of them all over the place - and lots of signs advising visitors that they might be aggressive and not to feed them. They seemed fine, until one stole a little boy's ice cream!

“A change from the downtown”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 23, 2012

This is a nice little break from the hustle and bustle of central Penang. Like other parks in many cities it is well used by local s and this makes it an interesting social environment ans well ans botanical one. Locals seem ready to strike up a chat readily. the one pity is most of the interestingly plants are all locked away in cages
