“Visit only if you have nothing else to do in Penang”
Reviewed January 15, 2013

Visit only if you really want to catch a bit of Penang's history. The RM2 entry fee is acceptable for Malaysian standards but would have expected better upkeep of the place.

“very poor maintanence...sad”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

What a nice place....IT WAS...few hundred years back. But now its better to call it the Ruines of a Fort due to a VERY POOR MAINTANENCE. Its a historical heritage which was abendoned by the local government i guess. We paid 2 rm per entry for adult but we didnt get where did the money go...simple calculation will show that there should be some money for at least some small works but...no. sadly, even the cannons now function only as ashtrays and dustbins...how so sad

“Interesting but only for a short visit”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

The grounds are well maintained but there is limited information about the fort provided. It's ok and helps spend about 30 minutes of the day. No biggie if you miss it.
