Not the same Sun Yat Sen Museum that I went to at Macalister Road. I think I am not on the same page as you, so could you point me in the correct direction. I would love to go to the Sun yat SenMuseum as depicted in this picture. Thanks.

This is a good place to learn about Dr. Sun Yat-Sen struggle to liberate China from the imperialism. And how the overseas Chinese in Nanyang (South East Asia especially Penang) provided the much needed fund for the final revolution.
The use of wax mini figures to illustrate the various milestones in Dr. Sun's struggle is similar to those I have seen in Taiwan and they are very well made.
This place is definitely not recommended for family with kids as they will not have the patience to wait for you to go through all items.
However, our visit is not that pleasant as the curator is slightly snobbish and will judge you by your background and where you come from.

Dear kimchizen ,
The Sun Yat Sen Museum is a hybrid of a history museum and a house museum, with its original shophouse architecture. I hope our in-house guide explained this to you. We thank you for your feedback and please let us know how we could improve.
Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you when visiting us next time.Thank you very much.

There's a small admission but the tour is very short. Still it's worth seeing Dr. Sun Yat Sen's Base on Armenian Street. Sr. Sun Yat Sen was the leader of the Chinese Revolution. It was the headquarters of the Southeast Asian branch of the Tung Meng Hooi Party. A lot of his personal effects are here. Ask to see his back door escape route.

It was well maintained with good presentation of the revolution and the involvement of overseas Chinese, especially of those from Penang and other countries. The models displayed were of high quality and illustrative.

This was the home of one of the original Chinese revolutionaries. Well done museum with lots of original items in the house. Nice to see how people lived back in the day.
