We called in here for lunch because it's at the end of the bus route and we had some time to kill.

It's a pleasant enough setting and a good menu but really, the food is pretty standard and perhaps a bit overpriced. The fact that there were only 3 tables in use probably says it all.

Being well away from the tourist area of Batu Ferringhi you might expect the prices here to be a bit lower. Actually the opposite is true, in fact I can’ t remember paying such ridiculous prices any where in Malaysia, even in silver service five star restaurants in KL.

To top it off, the food was crap. We ordered a fish plate and stir fried vegetable, which turned out to be nothing more than a plate of bean sprouts in some sort of cheap sauce, charged out at RM12. The fish was charged out by the 100 gram, ranging from about RM6 – 10. They wanted me to order a fish weighing in at 800 gram. When I told them this would be too expensive they ended up selling me a cheaper fish for 500 gram. There was very little meat on this fish however. For this meal and three coconuts we forked out RM76.50.

For this kind of money in Malaysia you might expect some sort of ambience, but here there is non. We were seated up the back near an overflowing rubbish bin. The place has the ambience of a glorified food court.. concrete floor and red plastic chairs mixed with paint peeling old steel chairs, with a few paper Chinese lanterns hanging off the ceiling. The laminated menu was worn and tatty. Oh, and if you still aren’t convinced, the serviettes are pieces of toilet paper in a box. The cutlery is the same cheap variety used in the food courts.

Our waiter spoke very little English and understood even less. Eventually another person was called upon to take our order who spoke and understood marginally more.
In this food mecca island there are so many more better places to eat. This one should be avoided at all costs.

A bit pricey compare from other food outlet in Penang but worth the food. Seafood overload. I thought the smart towel tissue is for free. I was surprise it cost 2RM! Anyway, overall experience is fine

My brother claimed that it was really good, though this time around, it was a real disappointment. We ordered fish, preying mantis shrimp, crabs, lala, oyster omelets, calamari, vege, noodle and fried rice. Other than the fried calamari, we were really disappointed with the food and the exorbitant bill!

Not the cheapest compared to other restaurants in Penang but lovely lovely seafood. The Tom Yum soup is certainly one only for the brave! Be warned.
