We were looking for a nice and well priced hotel to explore Penang and Georgetown and booked this hotel for one night. We ended up staying five nights. The building is a row of old terraces tastefully restored and added to. The furniture in the rooms, bars, dining room, garden area etc all add to the charm of this place. They have pieces of replica antique chinese furniture mixed amoungst contempory sculptures. You can tell that alot of thought has been put into creating this place. I want to take half the furniture and sculptures home with me. The staff are so friendly we will be sad to leave. Even the food is great!
The hotel is located just outside the hussle and bustle, but close enough that you can stroll into china town or little India and is close to a bus stop to get to other parts of the island.
With only 45 rooms in the hotel and it only being a year or so old, it has all the mod coms with the charm of a boutique hotel. I would recommend it for families and couples.
