You really cannot believe how much of a disappointment this was for me. I have been to this restaurant many times and considered it as one of my favourite Indian restaurants anywhere in the world.
I hadn't been to Penang for several year so was unsure if it would have changed.
Believe me it has, and sadly not for the better. They have moved the bar from one side to the other and it has given the place an empty unloved feel even though it was busy with post-Ramadan fast diners.
Our food took an hour to arrive and when it did we wished it hadn't. It was mediocre at best. Add to this the house 'band' that were catterwalling in front of us and you had all the ingredients for a memorable experience. Sadly, not one you would want to repeat.
