Perfect place if you are looking for a place right smack in the middle of the city. 5 mins walk to the famous Nasi Kandar Liyakat / Nasi Kandar Beratur, Nasi Beriani Ramzan and a few other lip-smacking Penang food. KOMTAR, Chowrasta Market are not too far away.

Our apartment has 3 rooms that can sleep 5 people but can actually accommodate up to 7 or 8 maybe. Only 1 room with air conditioning unit while the other 2 rooms have wall-mounted fans. The interior is simple and modern. At the moment, there's no elevator but was informed by the staff that the management has plans to build one. There's a cafe for some snacks and beverages at An-Nur AnCasa and the price is very reasonable.

2 things I wish this place has is a microwave oven and an extra bathroom. It was a bit chaotic for the 5 of us having to share just one bathroom and 1 toilet throughout the stay. Not being able to cook or even heat our food is also a setback.

One pleasant or unpleasant surprise (depending on how each tourist look at it) is the location of the tombs of the late wives of a former "Kapitan" which is in the compound of An-Nur Ancasa. Since it's one of the selected World's Heritage Site, it could be a great photo opportunity for some tourists but kids wont be too happy knowing the fact that the tombs are not too far away.

Overall, I would recommend An-Nur AnCasa to family with more than 2 kids and to groups of tourists who would want to experience what Georgetown has to offer.

Room Tip: For much older tourists, request for lower levels as there are no elevator. To stay far from the tombs site, request for rooms near the exit and not the entrance.

When travelling with family, we are most of the time visiting places of interests and only come into the hotel for sleep/rest, shower or to freshen up. So the most important things for me are air-cond rooms and hot-water showers both of which are available in these apartments.

The apartments are very basic with three rooms per apartment. Two rooms with 2 single beds and one room with a single bed. There is not much other furniture except for a TV in the living room. Only the land channels are available on TV so we normally bring along a portable DVD player and disks.

There is also a kitchenette which has a fridge but no utensils are provided though you can rent an electric kettle and cups for RM5 a day.

It is centrally located within walking distance of the main attractions and food places in Georgetown which is why it is my choice whenever I visit here.

I booked this place for only one night as we arrived in Georgetown a day early and wished we could've stayed here the entire week!
The location is within walking distance to the heritage attractions and the glorious Penang food. Breakfast at the hotel's cafe was included in our stay although our online booking did not indicate so. The unit was clean and well maintained although only one of the rooms is air-conditioned. Parking is plenty. For the cheap price paid, I did not expect kitchen amenities included. And a word of advice, do not leave valuables in the unit as there is no safe and the locks look too easy to be picked on by someone who already gained access at the main entrance.

This place is not for the elderly, small children and physically challenged as there is no elevator. If you don't mind the street noise permeating your unit and just needed a place to recharge and space for kids to tumble, this place is super value for money!

Room Tip: Pick units at top floor if they are available particularly during peak/super peak period as they are least preferred (as you need to climb the stairs!). They are less noisy.

A very beautiful apartment that feels like home. Security is tight as key card is assign for gate access. Staffs are friendly and helpful. A big parking space is provided for guests. The daily necessities are not provided as you have to rent for it, like kettle, cups, blankets, etc. If you request room with air-con, you need to pay extra for it. As this is an apartment managed by Muslim, you are not allowed to bring alcohol and non-halal food to the apartment. The apartment is very clean and a nice place to stay but not so convenient for the hidden charges and restricted rules. If you are not bothered by it, this is a very good place to stay.

Room Tip: Ask for all rooms with air-con, additional charges apply.

This place is certainly clean and the location is good. We could walk to the Esplanade on NYE without having to fight the traffic in a car.

HOWEVER, what I did not know and wished that I had known was that there is a motorcycle repair shop or some kind right in the same hotel complex. And it gets VERY loud when the bikers rev their bikes for long periods of time. There seems to be also a large group of bikers hanging around at all times, which felt a bit iffy. But what I minded the most was the incessant bike noise!
