Loved this restaurant! Must try the CHILI PADI PORK. It's like a caramelized, not-too-spicy, bacon. The cut of meat is pork belly and the combination of flavors explodes in your mouth.

We have visited at dinner time. Even though the place was packed (with locals and tourists) and we had to queue the waiting staff was managing very efficiently. The food and drinks were top class. Go there, you will not be disappointed. They have put a "closed" sign outside the restaurant just before 20:30.

We passed by this restaurant at dinner time and saw a long line waiting to be attended, we were curious about it and checked about it in tripadvisor when we got at the hotel, we then decided to give it a try. We sat there very quickly and ordered some plum chicken and lemon chicken, and it was delicious!!! It was the best meal we ate in Malaysia!! I really recommend this restaurant as it was totally worth it!! Cheap, fast and delicious!! The best place to eat in Penang!

We ate at Tek Sen tonight for the 1st time and will certainly be back. Helpful and friendly staff and food was up to our expectations. We had the double roasted pork (the large portion was more than enough for 2 of us, they will ask you for the desired level of spiciness, we asked not too spicy and it was perfect, only a few slices of green chillies, it was a warm dish without being fiery), with the dragon spinach with egg and fungus and white steamed rice. We drank iced Chinese tea. The bill came up to a reasonable RM44.
The ambiance is that of a food court, the toilets are very basic but they do exist and although there is no A/C in the restaurant (it is open to the street) it is very airy thanks to numerous fans on the ceiling and around the room.
i would recommend coming early as this place fills up quickly due to its popularity, both with locals and visitors. We arrived at 18:20 and easily found a table but it was full half an hour later and a long queue formed outside the restaurant!

If you are looking for a great Tze Char restaurant, look no further. Great casual open air restaurant with wonderful dishes at very cheap prices. Our family of 3 paid only 90RM for a meal.

Don't miss the double-cooked pork belly that is candied, the Assam sting-Ray and the Sambal Kang Kong!

Tip: Come early at 6pm when they open to avoid the queue.
