Gorgeous mansion - definitely worth a visit! You can spend at least an hour there. We were charged an admission fee of RM20 per person (even though the website states that the admission fee is RM10).

I visited on the World Heritage Day at the end of the Georgetown festival, where most attractions were free for the day but here I paid a whopping 20RM and I really feel I was ripped off. Did they raise the price knowing more visitors would be around that day? The company running this world heritage site are taking advantage of tourists and should be ashamed.

The building itself was interesting but the whole visit was over shadowed by the whopping price tag and the fact that everywhere is a gift shop. My feeling after leaving just made me want my money back.

For 10RM admission fee, its not bad as it does offer you a peep into past with the glorious history of Peranakan clan. Well kept, many artefacts to see and enjoy, the ambiance is soothing with grandeur.
The temple next to it is very ancient and there are plenty of bats in one section towards the raod side.Be careful or you end up having bat's pee on your clothes!

A great place to know Peranakan culture. From the living to dining areas, from their costumes to their interior design, it was terrific!!! If you stroll in room by room, sit area and feel the air, it will at least take you 1 to 2 hours!

Worth the 12RM entry fee. Meticulous restoration of the mansion. Antique Chinese furniture is breathtaking. Friendly and knowledgeable guides offer free tours. Adjoining Chinese Jewelry Museum is very interesting.
