good, very well restored and interesting. The 'greeters' at the door were a little over enthusiastic, also paying to go to the jewelry museum is actually paying to go to a shop, still both my father and I bought some nice jewellry there

This museum is housed in a beautifully restored mansion in downtown George Town, built by a wealthy Peranakan family and filled with furniture, clothes, tableware and other household items. It's a view into a complex culture that grew up over the centuries of trade among Chinese, Malays, Indians and Europeans along the Straits of Malacca.

A very well done museum/house showing the lifestyle and decor that would have been used in a wealthy Peranakan home. There are room after room of beautiful architecture and examples of Chinese items. There are no guided tours so you decided how much time to spend in the house. The Nonya jewelry and clothing is worth looking at as well.

Charming old house. Well worth a visit and the admission fee is not too expensive. Be sure to take photos inside.

A very beautiful Museum tucked in a corner.Reveals the richness of the Royal Chinese families. The exhibits in the museum shows how modern they were even in those days.Very well maintained.A must see place in Pinang.
