“Cosy place”
Reviewed January 3, 2014

We drop by for a chilling session.
Ordered a cheese platter and warm apple filo pillow + a sweet wine (with recommendation from the staff).
Delighted with the taste of warm apple filo pillow, absolutely perfect for a night out with drizzling weather out there.
Price wise was reasonable too!

“Perhaps my expectations were too high”
Reviewed October 5, 2013

Having read other reviews and looked at the pictures put on the internet, I was expecting a first class dining experience. Unfortunately I was disappointed. My entree was scallops; looked nice on the plate but was dry and tasteless. My main was John Dory which was moist but the nut coating could have been more subtle. Desert was the flourless chocolate cake and this was more like a heavy brownie than a light fluffy flourless cake!

My two fellow diners had pretty much the same experience. One had the selection of meats for entree (which was okay-the deer was good); the other diner had the chicken panini (bread was standard white bread-a more rustic Italian bread should have been served) which was very bland and should definitely be missed-very subway style meal; desert of apple in filo pastry was good.

Another disappointment was the wine. I had read about the extensive wine list. I would have loved to have tried some. No one bothered to inform us on the wines they had so we selected something we knew little about. The wine was drinkable. After we had 2 glasses someone came up to us to tell us about the different wines we could have had.

Presentation of the food was the only thing I could honestly say was of a good standard.

“Good service good wine Good food”
Reviewed September 28, 2013

Our time here was overall a good one. Waiting staff made our day. We were spoil for choices went it came to the wines. Food was beautiful served. One downfall apple pillow wasn't available which did upset us because it was an something which we so wanted to try after one of our friend claim its the best desert ever.it wasn't a busy day so didn't make sense why it wasn't available. Wait staff quick suggested prunes.we enjoy it but apple pillow would have made our day.

“lovely place friendly staff”
Reviewed September 27, 2013

we had a great time here. the wine were excellent.it was nice and surprising to see local staff having a great wine knowledge.she confidently told us which food goes well with which wine and it was spot on. service were excellent. food was in bit of a down side. our peckish was good but the duck was too dry n too thin. didn't feel right.left a bad taste in the mouth. apple pillow was too sweet and filo pastry wasn't cooked.please look into it. our main course was excellent. keep up the good job.overall we had a good time. will be back soon.
