Small clean room at a very low rate. It's situated at a very strategic location and accessible to everywhere around Georgetown. You can find lots of eatery outlet along Burmah Road which is available from day til late night. There are Giant hypermarket, Nagore place, New World Park Center, Little Cottage restaurant etc along the road.

Room Tip: Rooms at higher floor and away from the main road are more quiet.

The hotel is generally good for those travellers whom are on tight budget and want to be somewhere in town area. The location is good as it is within walking distance to Penang road where the famous Chendol is and also to Komtar and Prangin mall, two of the pioneers shopping mall in Penang. The room is small with no television at all but then we don't stay at the room whole day, so it wasn't such a big deal. The room is clean and have nice rain shower. Do not expect fancy toiletries amenities to be given, even with the kit, there is only soap and one towel and also a conditioning shampoo for your usage. Bring your own. There is a safe in the room. Basically, good for night sleep within your budget. And foremost before I forgot, it is next to New World Food court where you can get your food and Starbucks. After a meal, if you do not feel like walking around, then you may go to the lobby for the tv show while having your Starbucks coffee. I will be back for sure.

Room Tip: Tune hotel in Penang has windows for most of the room unlike the one in Kota Damansara whereby only selected room has windows.

This is my 2nd time at Tune hotel downtown Penang. Just love the location, it's centrally located, and only a 10-minute walk to the bus terminal where you can go anywhere in Penang. Shopping is everywhere nearby, with Penang Bazaar and Chowrasta market only a 15-minute walk away. Nothing beats the power shower and comfy bed. I will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: There are single rooms without windows. Try to avoid that.

It was so comfortable even for the space that was provided. I spent the first 2 days of my holiday just sleeping which was good, and mind you i have a really bad back so it's often a gamble when it comes to bed and mattresses.

Also, the location was so good, everything was in walking distance. Food court and coffee bars just next door. laundry service just opposite the road, literally a minute to get there. City centre bus, ferry terminal etc within walking distance or if you must, take a cab for about 3 USD to any destination within the central area.

Would highly recommend this to any budget conscious traveler with a bad back or just looking for deep sleep ;] Suitable for singles, couples and small families.
