We were in Georgetown for the day as a port of call on a cruise. We walked around the city all morning, then enjoyed a proper afternoon tea at the posh E&O Hotel, in the 1885 restaurant. It is very comfortable, relaxing, and the service is unassuming and exact. The afternoon tea is very good, as you would expect from a British-inspired hotel, with tea sandwiches, scones, and a beautiful dessert selection. Worth a visit to get out of the heat of Georgetown, enjoy a proper tea and relax.
