This place is amazing not overcrowded with tourists and still cheap. Prices are very resonable and island is so clean and beautiful. You arrive to the island by boat ride. The tickets are very cheap and the boats are air onditioned. U can carry ur bycycles and luggage also on them.Cyclists will love to explore the island on the cycles. The boat ride takes 45 mins to arrive at the jetty.once u come out of the jetty station their is pink taxi which are shared but the best is to choose and hire the bikes which are very cheap around 10 ringgit per hour and 40 ringgit for whole day. u get helmet also.
If u are looking for crowds and hords of tourist see elsewhere.
Its nice and clean but i m afriad not a good snorkelling place even though other water sports facilities including snorkelling is offered but for best options head to thailand.food is good and cheap if u r okay with street food, their r some good eating places also like daddy's cafe.
Best is to hire a scooter to explore the island and its very cheap. the island is so small u will never get lost also.Their is a small airport also but i guess only the charter flights cater to it. Some big resorts have their own beach.
The beach is full of trees and some have swings and hammocks and a nice play area for children.

It was part of our company retreat -actually it was a real destresser as there was no wifi in rooms.. The welcome after taking a short boat ride was to a jetty a la fantasy island ...we were greeted by the GM and the resident manger. Iam happy to say that I did not meet any rude staff. All queries and touch points were met with staff who have internalised the motto "u are the guest ".

Chatting with the staff -one common feeling ..they were happy to work there .

The food at the 3 rstaurant - Feast Village ,UncleLim, Fisherman Cove and all three outlets had very enthusiastic staff and the freshness of the food was good as well as the taste. at times food seem to take a bit longer at the village but the purpose is to relax , The quality and presentation was superb
This daily breakfast was good and the spread included a wide range of indian , malay , western and also fresh juices and cheese and yoghurt ....i

some activities ...Yoga ...jungle trekking and lounging in a bay with snorkelling ...shopping (only if u just want pay thru yr nose for a branded tshirt -1500 ringgit-buy or dont buy the staff are very polite

The only bugbear is that travelling from Singapore to PAngkor is a long car ride ...Iam told helicopter is 35K....

The accomodation is really nice ambience and I guess you could walk and enjoy the fresh air...

The only other thing to do is enjoy the spa ...its a treat and a real pampering of your body and senses ....

In case you are wondering ..i was not paid to write this ...its a real wonderful experience ...will go back when the opportunity arises....

Good place for snorkelling as the fish are coming to you, because you are expected to have bread for them.
Skip it on weekend, because it is very crowded.
Go there when is low tide. You may hire a kayak - it is very close.
Skip going to the beach on the opiste side of the island. Nothing interesting on the way except ... mosquitos that are waiting for you.

The beach itself was actually beautiful. I loved that there was barely anyone there and the trees were full of swings and hammocks that you could relax in. Also the sand and water were really nice. Unfortunately the beach is very badly kept. A lot of dirt and random construction stuff laying around. After hitting our feet on pointy and sharp objects in the water, i started checking what these were, as they did not feel like normal rocks and stones. Within one hour I dove up about 5 pieces of roof tiles and 3 bathroom tiles with cement bits on them.. This could have been quite painful if anyone stepped on it the wrong way. I am assuming I didn't get everything out since it was quite a lot. At one point we felt like we were digging up a house! Beautiful beach, but be careful not to hurt yourself.

island is surrounded by water, one good thing is that the island is divided into two parts , once you had snorkeling on one side of the island you could travel on foot to the other side of the island for eateries.
the island provides good music esp reggae and it is being played at all times.
