The rooms are really great for the price you pay! You really would expect to pay more. Nice pool area with jacuzzi. The staff aren't very professional so don't expect much smiles my advice for the place is to train their staff better and this would be perfect. Great location just 5 mins away from Coral beach and Nipah bay beach. Would definitely recommend this place as many places on Nipah bay are very basic and nothing to shout about. We took the ferry there and paid about RM 10 for two ways and a RM 15 ferry from the jetty to the hotel. I would definitely recommend renting a bike and going round the island. You can get one at RM 40 and doing the round island tour for about RM 25 per person.

I have been going to Pangkor Island for the last 25 years and have noticed how this island has grown from a sleepy fishing town to a buzzing tourist hive. We have been staying at this hotel over the last few years and it's location is perfect for the beach peace and quiet, food and comfort. We took a king-sized bed overlooking the beach and the hotel swimming pool. The hotel is 5 minutes walking distance to two beach areas - teluk nipah and pasir bogak. Teluk Nipah offers a clean and safe beach for families with young kids whilst Pasir Bogak offers food and tourist activities. This hotel is also one of the best and expensive along this stretch of the beach but still offers the best value for the discerning traveller

Room Tip: ask for the swimming pool facing rooms

Once checked in, found used ladies napkin in the shower soap bar. Curtains were not aligned to the size of window. Hence the window is not fully covered from outside. This is a very bad point. Tv channels were limited with poor viewing quality.

The staff were extraordinarily unwelcoming and unfriendly. The room itself (we booked the deluxe room) was nice enough although basic - for example one towel each and no handtowels, bath mats or face cloths and no normal extras such as drinking water or soaps.
We stayed here during Ramadan and there appeared to be multiple eating places lining the streets but these were are closed down for the duration of our stay. We assume they are open at other times, but we found it difficult to find somewhere to have dinner. We tried to ask our hosts early evening where we could find somewhere to eat, and although they were sitting around with a lot of takeaway bags of food, they told us there was nothing available and basically said we had to hungry. We finally found something quite a long way away.

Room Tip: Don't be tempted to pay a bit more and choose a deluxe room unless you are fit and strong enough...

I was very sceptical while booking this resort as I had read lot of negative reviews. However it turned out to be quite opposite and much higher than our expectation. The resort staff was very friendly and as we were vegan's travelling with kids they did allow us to have our own food in thE restaurant. Karen who was the front desk staff was too gooD. He arranged for our boat trip and snorkelling at a very good price and we also got the best boat guide. Our stay was very comfortable and loved it much. Although priced little higher, I would highly recommend this resort in pangkor. Coral beach which is the best beach in pangkor is just 4 min walking from the resort. Daddy's cafe is also at coral beach which serves food and drinks. There are few mini market and eateries around the hotel.

The resort is so closed with the beach. You can only walk for 1 minute and reach the beach and seafood stalls there. Sheets smell good and we love the pool, it looks like sampan from above. The only problem here is the cafe is too small, besides of the unfriendly staff.

The concept of this hotel seems to be "luxury budget accommodation" (the 3-stars in a Malaysian hotel mean that there is a swimming pool and a restaurant). More for young travellers looking for something better than backpacker accommodation, or families travelling on a budget. The rooms are clean but pretty basic, although there are a couple of maintenance issues. Being close to the sea, the chromed bathroom towel rails and hooks rust quickly. And fabric shower curtains tend to smell a bit , partly due to the humid climate. This seems not to have been considered when the hotel was outfitted. The ship-shaped swimming pool is a little smallish and seems to be more suitable for children. Teluk Nipah beach, just across the road, is nice and the water is reasonably clean (being on the West coast) HOWEVER the waves are strong (enough to knock over an adult!) and the beach drops off quite steeply. I don't recommend the beach for young children, although I think at certain seasons the sea is calmer. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. On weekdays and off-season, the hotel is quiet and makes for a good weekday getaway. Another good thing is that food stalls, a well-stocked convenience store and the taxi stand are near by.
However, Pangkor itself needs sprucing up as garbage seems to be everywhere on the island, and stall owners need to be educated about cleanliness and aesthetics when it comes to their stalls.
