Stayed in this hotel on 21.9.2012 for 1 night. Booked for presidential suite/penthouse worth rm700++/night.. There was no satellite/cable tv service (only antenna type), few lighting bulbs werent functoning, the masterbedroom's air conditioner unit was malfunctioning (set the unit's temp even until 16 degree but still sweating), the sliding doors (glass) looked dull/dirty, the bowls and plates and glasses n cutlery were dusty n dirty as well.. Despite of those -ve things, the foom was spacious enough n my family n I really enjoyed the beautiful scenary facing the sea especially when it is sunset.

The breakfast ..... There was not enough variety of foods and the taste...........i can give 1 out of 5...

The staff were friendly overall the most generous rating I can give to this hotel is 2... Most probably will not come again....

The room is dusty and the floor feels sticky as if it has not been cleaned for ages. The bedsheet looks dirty. Worse, there are cockroaches running around in the room!

The breakfast is a big joke - they only provide some fried noodles, fried rice and fried eggs AND the fried noodles are actually SMELLY and tasted FUNNY. Upon my complaint, the hotel management acknowledged that the noodles had actually past their due date and gone bad!

We stayed there for 2 nights the week End (June 2012).The place is ok, the pool is great for the kids but crowded.Hotel cleanness is quite average and bad need to improve a lot ( bathroom tap broken , mattress not clean when we check in lot of hair and dirty in mattress . From the website, the hotel look quiet decent. With the price range.food taste OK and quality is good. The internet is working fine, the meeting rooms are ok, within walking distance to the seafood restaurant but quality of sea food not good . behavior of staff is good . they have newspapers in the lobby. bicycle for rental 1 hour - RM 10 for 3 hour RM 15 .

stayed for one night stop during weekdays so there was not many other guest. Got swimming pool(medium sized), but i would expect it to be crowded if the occupancy was higher. The family room with one queen and single bed was big, with kitchen sink cabinets and so. Even got a fridge. within walking distance to the seafood restaurant by the beach. Bit disappointed by the food there as I had expected better. For the price offered, should have offered more.

Room Tip: try to get the upper floor.

We stayed there for 4 nights the week (Dec. 2011), on our Institute Retreat. Many of our staff came with families. The place is ok, the pool is great for the kids. Yes, there are shortcomings in the management and the cleanliness and the food, but when you are friendly to the people at the hotel, they are also friendly with you, and correct their mistakes. For me, it was not the best place to stay, but also far from being the worst place I ever spent some time for a retreat. They started to do Christmas decoration, and had a little snowman, and I was touched. The internet is working fine, the meeting rooms are ok, the rooms are also ok, the food is not so great, and they have newspapers in the lobby. I think the magic word is "friendliness" - if you as a guest treat the people there well, they treat you well.

Room Tip: There are rooms with very nice sea view.

We stay there on 2 Dec 2011. From the website, the hotel look quiet decent. With the price range, it should be a average budget hotel. This was on my mind when I was booked. Once reach there, I am really surprise. The hotel is only 6 years old, but the 9 class management made is looked like 10 years old or more. The 2 rooms apartments given was very dirty. There is even mold on the towel provided. Spider can be found in the bath room. Bad smell in the room. The buffer breakfast also is bad with flies flying around. Everything can be summary in 1 phrase, bad management. If given a choice, I will not stay there and will not even recommend anyone to stay there.

We wanted to have a wonderful family gathering for Deepavali - 26 Oct 2011. Made reservation for two 2 bedroom apartment (requested side by side) for a two night stay (26 & 27 Oct). Lesson no 1 - dont believe advertising materials (viewed on the internet). When I noted that the reception had Hari Raya Decoration (30 & 31 Aug 2011) still hanging there and the office near the lift had Chinese New Year Decoration (3 & 4 Feb 2011) on its door, knew that service would have extra dosage of lacklustre.

Request for side by side, never got it. Towels - discoloured and stained. Bedsheets - stained. TV - channels not properly set, remote not functioning except for on/off button. No Astro, inhouse video or Vision 4. Sofa set - sinking in the middle, justing waiting to snap. Towels and bedsheet were changed immediately upon complaint (not too bad for responsive service but should have been done initially). Unfortunately room was not made on the 2nd day till we checked with the reception at around 8pm.

Breakfast for both days were the same - Fried Koay Teow/Rice/Chicken Curry/Baked Beans/Grilled Sausage/Fried Egg (Counter)/Congee/Curry Mee/Toast/Cordial/Coffee & Tea - 2 star Hotel serves more or less the same with variations!!

Gymnasium was kept locked and was only opened upon request. The equipments were not functioning. No wonder the gym is being kept locked up.

The water theme park needs proper maintenance and definately no invisible lifeguards. Our kids had a wonderful time splashing away in the water without worries of imminent danger. The eldest, 14yrs old ended up with a gash just above his left eyebrow which required 2 stitches. The poor boy didnt even know how he got the cut. That was his Deepavali present from the management of Marina Cove! Suprisingly no management staff were around when we wanted to complain. The service staff were of no help either.

Over-rated & Over-priced for the services rendered.

Sad to say, a good holiday resort being flushed down the drain by poor management.

I will not be recommending this place to my friends. My kids will be rating their regrettable outing in their FB soon.
