“Shameful”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2012

I find this museum is a shame for Perak people. The authority did not take a good care of it. They didnt care about the interior, the garden, etc. Its so poor that I feel ashamed to bring any of my friends here.

“Small but interesting museum”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2012

Museum has been recently renovated. Interesting display on archaeology but wrong info on some of the displays and the museum "curator" didn't know much.

“interesting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2012

after reading the history of perak and how tin mines and mining was something that dominanted the states years ago.. its was nice to see the replica. Its a small cozy wooden bungalow which has been converted into a museum. very educational. a place to take school going kids to understand the perak history better..

“must go place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2012

Museum run by goverment. Free of charge. Next to Goverment building. Opposite with perak's library. educational place, especially with ipoh history and also tin mining history. If got time, go one school , very near to it. You will see this Gothic style school'-St Michael School.
