“Cool recreation park”
Reviewed September 16, 2013

The first sight that greeted us from the carpark was the man-made waterfalls. It was a beautiful sight. This park is suitable for all ages and this park was serene and picturesque for taking photos. There was a couple who had come there to take a wedding photo shoot. For RM 1, we bought fish feed and fed the fishes in the larger pond. We did not opt for the boat ride to the park across.

“really coool”
Reviewed August 22, 2013

Suitable for people of all ages however less so senior citizens (ramps next to stairs but could imagine getting a wheelchair onto the boat being quite a struggle) as a fair amount of walking is involved after the boat ride, very serene and picturesque however the only animals we saw locked up fordisplay were austridges, chickens and pigeons... Can take great photos while there and feed large fish upon entering the park. The highlight of this trip would be on the boat ride back where the driver made a little detour for me to show me these huge water lizards about 2 meteres long where the mountains met the lake.

“Save your fish food for the island”
Reviewed August 15, 2013 via mobile

It was my 4-year old's first time on a boat so was glad for her first time to be in a very controlled environment like a small man-made lake!

You can buy fish food at the same counter where you buy the boat tickets (rm1 for a bag of pellets). There are fish on both ends of the boat ride so I recommend saving some of the pellets for when you get to the "island". The fish at the island seem smaller than the ones at the main dock, so my logic says they need the food more? :)

“Hidden Gem of Ipoh”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

Never would i thought I'd see something this wonderful in Malaysia.
Lang Mountain, or "Gunung Lang" in Malay, is a recreation park that is open for all. Upon reaching the car park, you need to pay a ticket fee for a boat ride (about 15 minutes?) to get to the other side. Along the boat ride, you can admire the beautiful surrounding nature.

There's not much on the island, but if you're planning on a picnic there, please get a plastic bag ready. There are huts/ pondok-pondok for you to sit and enjoy the day. Careful, it can be quite heaty sometimes so if you're going with kids, make sure you bring a battery operated fan or a paper fan.

You can feed the tortoises or the fishes in the pond and enjoy the serenity of the place. :)

“Good place for Picnicking”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

My two daughters really love this place. The moment they step down from the car, they will rush to the rope climbing play area. The man-made waterfall makes good photograph portrait and gives a cooling feel to the area. This is the favourite spot for wedding photos to Ipoh newlyweds.
The lake is nice, boat ride is decent, appropriate for the place. The island side is good enough for picnic activity. Kids do love watching and feeding animals and pet. I believe it is for town kids to learn about animals and pets. Sadly, there are irresponsible people giving the deer plastic bag to chew.
RM3 per head to maintain this place? You gotta be kidding me. You pay peanuts, you get peanuts.
