“Worth a visit”
Reviewed October 7, 2013 via mobile

My friends and I drove from Singapore to Kuantan during a weekend trip. Finding the mountain was hard as there were no signs; you have to ask the locals for directions. Furthermore, you require a 4wd to go up, we didn't want to force it with our Altis.

The museum was pretty easy to find but we gave it a miss and went to the mines instead. The mines are located beside the museum up the hill. It was an interesting visit like other reviewers have mentioned. You can wear a cap as the mines has water dripping all over the place.

Do drive deeper into the town to visit the bridge made from the old kiew steel ropes. Once you cross the bridge there is some nice pork and tidbits you can buy from the locals.

“Good visit”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

After you have climb the mountain to view the sunrise in the morning and had your breakfast of Sg.Lembing noodles this is one of the next attraction to visit. It is a interesting and educational place although the tram ride is a bit of a anticlimax as it is too short.Entrance fee of RM30 is ridiculously high but they now offer a 50% discount. They should gather visitors into group and have train their personel to bring in these groups so that they can explain and provide more information regarding the mines.

“Nice small museum”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

It is a re-living the glorious days of Sungai Lembing, as Pahang's richest manufacturer of tin. Sungai Lembing is once the largest subterranean mine in the world. The museum is small, but displaying mining tools, bibliographies of the heads of the company and economics. It you pay RM 15, you can make a tour
down the mine tunnel.

“Sungei lembing”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Time stands still here in this small town. Climb to the top of the hill in the early morning to catch the amazing sunrise. See the mist and the light playing on the natural forest . Feel the freshness of the air. Easy climb with man made steps right up to the top. Try the famous local hand made noodles on the way down at the foothill. Take a leisure walk to the museum no entrance fees. If you want to see the real tunnel it only cost usd3 entrance fee. Walk around to see the river and the hanging bridge.
