the owner of this cafe are welcome especially the chef, their juices are the best in town. refreshing in a very big glass! i always hangout here, as i know this place is the best one in kuantan. the music selections are the best.. the ambience of art is strong, with the presence of painting, classical furniture and dimmed lighting.
i see some architect, artist and interior designer usually hang out here,
the food are good, i like their steak and grilled chicken are presented with blackpepper sauce and potatoes.

Tjantek only opens at night. I love their Salted Lemon Honey. It's only uniquely at Tjantek. It's really a cozy place to hangout with your friends. Except got difficult parking, otherwise, can't complain much about it. Especially a town call Kuantan.

The cafe is situated in the old part of the Kuantan town, in an old building refurbished with nice deco and lots of quirky art pieces. Dimly litted, with jazz music in the background, its a perfect place to hang out with friends to chill. 2 thumbs up for the nice selection of drinks , we like their fruit juices in jumbo size glass, their tjantek fruit punch (which has real mango juice in it) and wild honey with calamansi which looks like a cocktail with brown raw sugar on the rim of the glass. We hope they have more selection of food on their menu though.

Located along Jalan Besar..parking is murder at any time of the day. Smoke from the traffic and the din makes us wonder why this is even called an artist oasis. We ordered Sirloin (medium well which turned out tough like a boot) and Grilled chicken. only black pepper sauce was offered. The Ceasar Salad was drenched with the sauce whilst the 'toasted' bread was soggy. No egg was present. The Pasta with 'chicken' ball was decent. At RM 95 for 3 pax..it was a rip off

This restoran is a bit difficult to find but when you are in the restoran you will feel contented with the art that surround you.The surrounding is very quiet and you can enjoy your food in a relax manner.
