Lovely Tudor building overlooking a lake. On arrival we were given a complimentary neck massage and a cold lemon and ginger drink. Bliss after the long winding drive up from KL Staff very friendly. Just a great place to relax and unwind

Booked the hotel for 1 night on valentines day with my girlfriend. Arrive at the hotel at about 11 am and tried to try our luck in checking in. To my surprise, the room was ready and they check us in within 5 mins. Normally hotel have to wait till their check in time in order to check in.
One of the staff brought us up to our room, room 14. Very nice room and we'll maintained! Requested for a full length mirror because we saw it in other room. We went out for some visitings of farms and saw the mirror when we are back! To our surprise, there were also a plate a fruits and a box of chocs on the table!
Now we are chilling at the lounge area having our drink and they set up the fire place after we requested for it! Excellent!!
All the staff we met are of high standard! Keep up the good work!

A tudor style hotel decorated in a very traditional British style. On arrival at the hotel we were shown to a fantastic suite which was to be our base for 2 nights. The room was really spacious with stunning views, clean and very comfortable. The maids came twice a day and with little treats such as home made shortbread and Horlicks in the evenings a lovely touch.

It is situated quite far out from the nearest town so be prepared to eat in the restaurant in the hotel if you don't have a car otherwise its a taxi ride of about 15mins to the town. There are a couple of basic Chinese restaurants a short walk away and they seemed popular with the locals.

We dined in the hotel on the first night and the meal was English in style the service attentive but a little too quick and we felt rushed. Every meal including breakfast was spoilt with other guests use of mobile phones in the restaurant with notification tunes going off every few minutes, we asked the manager to have a discreet word with the guests but he seemed too embarrassed to do this so we ate out the second night.

The staff however were very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Slightly concerned at the level of road noise - not the hotels fault, but this seems to be an issue for all the hotels in the highlands. There are a number of building construction projects on the go which means there are lorries plying the roads throughout the day plus the fruit & tea vehicles, taking produce to market. The lake is also being dredged which means that there is a digger on the go and the water is brown. However, The Lakehouse is a pleasant place to stay for a few days once you block out the noise. The hotel is away from the main towns in a good location, set slightly back off the main road. Staff were great, friendly and polite. Food - good breakfast, evening meals thought were really good and not too expensive considering size and taste. Service excellent and wine reasonable price and selection. Rooms were cleaned to a high standard but in need of some tender loving care. The carpet in our room had a number of coffee / drink stains on it and required a deep clean to remove theses, bathroom needed a refurbishment as well as tiles broken, shower had seen better days and grout / sealant around bath / shower black. Gardens were nice and plenty of areas to sit and relax at night inside and out. It's a small hotel and quite quirky in an old English way, apart from the road noise we really enjoyed our time here.

Room Tip: Not facing the road/lake

Dear middlegam

We would like to thank you for taking your time to write this review. Your feedback is very much appreciated as it is the key in our efforts to continue improving our services.
Regrettably, development activities on the Highlands had caused erosion which has sadly affected the condition of the lake in front of the hotel which is beyond our control and we appreciate your understanding on this issue.

We are delighted to know you have enjoyed the hotel, food and service during your stay.
Your comments will be shared with the team to motivate them.

Regarding your comments on the room condition, we have actually scheduled works to be done however, due to the long festive holidays, this can only be done in early March.
To ensure the room you stayed in is covered in our list, if you would be so kind to email me at lena.wee@lakehouse-cameron.com with more details, it will be much appreciated.

Thank you for sharing your staying experience on TripAdvisor and we look forward to welcoming you again should your travel plan brings you back to Cameron Highlands

This is a lovely small hotel which transports you back to the "good ol days" All the decorations and furnishings are tudor styled . We stayed in the 2 bedroomed family suite which was away from the main road so actually quite quiet and we did to hear the traffic. Traffic along this road is really bad, but all the hotels are along this road, so be prepared. The dinner in the restaurant was very good. The lunch menu not so good as the hamburgers were like cardboard straight out of a box.In their defence they did not charge fort he burgers when we complained. We chose to have the BBQ one evening, where you get to cook your own food. It was quite expensive at RM100 per person and there were 2 adults and 3 of my children. The food was great and really very tasty and we had a good time cooking outside, the only problem was we were a still quite hungry afterwards, so more food for that price would have been better. Also the drinks at the bar are highly priced at around R25 per shot, so be careful as you get a lot of ice and maybe 2 sips of your drink, maybe check when he pours the shot that you are actually getting a shot and not a sip!
But we will definitely go back there as its a small intimate hotel, lovely ambiance, rooms were great and spacious and staff friendly

With regards to your comment about the food & beverage prices, we have actually reduced the price on our menu items, this was a result from a number guest response and we are now less expensive than other options in the same category offering similar dining experience through Cameron Highlands
We have noted your comment on the burger and you will be pleased to know we are reviewing suppliers to ensure quality products are supplied to the hotel

We stayed here over the weekend and loved every moment. For a relaxing weekend there was no need to venture out because the Lakehouse had everything, from great staff who were helpful over email even before we arrived (thx param for arranging the taxi tour), Comfort, nature and serenity. I believe in giving good feedback when it's due and the Lakehouse certainly deserves it. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights over Chinese New Year planned as a quick getaway from Singapore. Overall we were bowled with the quality of service that we experienced. The staff were extremely professional and very attentive to even the smallest of details. What made our experience so great were instances such as the room being cleaned twice a day, our car being washed both days without us even requesting for it, the wide choice at breakfast and the smile and caring attitude of the staff even as they were trying to service the needs of a full house of guests.
This was our third visit to Cameron Highlands and with each subsequent visit I felt that the place looked more populated and less verdant. However we will return to experience a few days at the Lakehouse.
On both days we tried driving to Tanah Rata but had to return half way due to stalled traffic however we took a road from Ringlet towards Kuala Lipis to while away time driving. To our surprise this turned out as a long stretch of empty road going through the hilly countryside. It was a beautiful drive that we stumbled on. Overall a good trip made memorable by our experience at the Lakehouse hotel.
