This hotel is located smack in the middle of Brinchang town and this makes so easy to move around to look for food, shop and some nice places to visit.
It is on top of a shop lot which makes it even more convenient. The room was quite nice and lots of space to move around which makes it even more comfortable. yes, like most reviewers said it. loads of stuff from Ikea. hahaha. We like the deco and how the owner did with the place which made it very relaxing yet functional. Our room was a part of a 3 room "apartment" where we had a diving table for 4, some cushions, a nice coffee table with book shelf and a sink with cutlery provided. We spoke to the owner and she said we can book the 3 room and turn it into our own private apartment. That's pretty clever considering that sometimes when you have a large family and can't find a place to fit everybody and yet still have space outside the room to chill
We were pretty fortunate that the room we had had a nice view of the town however the down side is that you'd hear every single vehicle passing the place. having said that, the hotel was about 100m away from the night market, there loads of restaurants downstairs, gifts shops galore, and most of all limited guest which made the hotel just nice and not overcrowded.
Booking was easy as well considering a place like that. it was all thanks to Tripadvisor that we found this place and was happy with it. The owner was very helpful because there was an episode where we had loose electrical outlets that needed to be replace. This was done within a few hours and that gave us alot of confidence of the place. I like the fact as well we were given a tag to the main glass door to get in apart from our room key and CCTVs were at strategic spots so we felt pretty safe. So kudos to the owner.
Like mentioned before because of the location of the hotel, finding a place to park is sometimes quite a task because of the amenities the town provides. so you might need to go to the back where Public Bank is to find a place rather than the front.
With Cameron highlands now getting warmer, it'd be great to have a better fan fixed in the room. what we had was a wall fan which could not reach everybody in the room so it's kind of a bummer. We couldn't open the windows wide enough because of the noise from the traffic so having a nice ceiling fan would have made the stay more comfortable. I guess this is something all hotels in Cameron Highlands would need to think about.
Lastly, the stairs leading up to the place could be quite challenging if you have old folks with you as well. it's a straight climb up 2 storeys to get to the reception and then another floor up to our room. So you might want to take this into consideration when booking this place. We of course didn't mind the climb.
Overall the place was very nice, clean, relaxing, filtered water provided and a good place to think about for the location and the price they offer. we wouldn't mind coming again..maybe this time equipped with a stand fan. The owner was very helpful and made our stay pretty pleasant, not to mention we got to check in early but I think that depends on your luck with any other hotels as well.
