“Most memorable place”
Reviewed June 20, 2011

Our friendly guide pointed out to us how important it is the mossy forest is to the whole ecological balance. All water resources hinge on the preservation of these mossy forests. The forest is very old, and it contain so many pitcher plants. Satya will always pluck some leaves, pick something from the ground, grind it using his hands and let us smell it before he will reveal what was in his hands. Such a memorable walk. There is even a tiny section on ropes, reminded me so much of Mount Kinabalu. This is certainly a fun walk for all ages and for us to know more about the treasure that Mossy Forest contains. I will certainly recommend this walk to all people that go Cameron Highlands!

“lord of the rings”
Reviewed April 10, 2011

We had morning tea at the Boh Tea Plantation before going to the Mossy boardwalk. I would absolutely recommend that. It was a wonderful start of the trip.

It was a difficult drive up the steep slope to Bukit Brinchang. You might have to step hard on the gas to go up at certain parts of the road if your car is 1800 cc but it is worth it. The mossy boardwalk takes you into a mystical land of mist and overhanging mossy trees. You feel as if you have walked onto the set in Lord of the Rings. My whole family loved it. You need strong legs to complete the whole boardwalk. A trip to the Cameron Highlands is not complete if you didn't go to the Mossy Boardwalk.

“lovely walk in the treetops”
Reviewed March 19, 2011

Lovely boardwalk through the tree tops, very interesting to see all the different plants in and on the trees, really a live view into the jungle. Easy to walk, don't forget your camera.
Very beautiful on a clear day. Don't forget your raincoat it can start raining from the bluest sky.

Mossy forest is right below the top of Gunung Brinchang which has a great observation tower to have great views of the surroundings.

On the way up here from Brinchang is the BOH tea plantation, absolutely beautiful.

“Absolutely amazing!”
Reviewed November 21, 2010

We booked a half day tour to Mount Brinchang, mossy forest, BOH tea plantation and Butterfly farm for RM50 per person from TJ Tours at Tanah Rata. The tour was really great, the guide was really an ecology and Cameron Highlands expert. We really enjoyed ourselves on the enlightening and knowledgeable tour! The guide showed us plants and provided us an insight about how important the forest is to the planet.

Inside the mossy forest, we really felt like being in another world, like in Pandora from the movie Avatar! Caution: your white shoes will become chocolate brown when you exit Pandora!

“Magical, truly magical”
Reviewed September 13, 2009

Went up this morning at 6am hoping to see the sunrise, instead due to the rain the night before, we got white cloud and heavy mist. Not to worry though, as it adds to magical feeling you get when up 6666ft. Something very nice about listening to the wind, surrounded by clouds and not hearing anything else but mother nature.

The mossy forest has got a newish walkway apprarently so more people can enjoy the trek without getting dirty. I've been before when it was all forest and prefered it before. To those who go with white new shoes, I mean - whatever for! man, its the jungle! You go there knowing that its muddy, its ancient and not catering to those too lazy and too spolit to understand it.

You climb and touch trees that are enveloped in moss, winding roots and plants from ages back. There is something very Middle Earth about the forest and yet something slightly creepy too but still I loved it. Would recommend it to anyone wanting adventure and doesnt mind getting dirty plus imagine all the amazing pics you can take!
