“Go here if your also visiting the Mossy Forest”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2013

We drove to the top in our rental car, it wasn't too difficult, we took the turnoff from the main road for Sungai Palas Boh Tea Plantation, past the plantation you need to take a left following the signs for Mountain Strawberry Farm, past the farm just keep going up the hill, you pass the mossy forest walk way, and shortly after that you'll be at the top.

The view wasn't great, the steal observation town is in need of some de-resting, the real highlight is the mossy forest walk which is a few hundred meters from the top.

“Nice road to the top”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2013

Visited Gurung Brinchang by car on an organised trip from Tanah Rata. The ascend to the top is quite picturesque and lushy green. Views from the top depend on the weather - we didn't have much luck on that, however it does not seem to be spectacular even on clear days, cause you mostly see forested mountains. So we think the car ride is more of an attraction here than the mountain itself.

From the observation tower at the top, i can see the Ipoh town and another one, Melaka (not really sure)
Need some maintenance and planning to make the place as worthy attraction for outsider

“What a Great View !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 18, 2013

The height of Gunung Brinchang is easy to remember, its 6666 feet.

The iron observation tower was rusty but still solid and safe.

Cameron Highlands was over exploited for tourism money, given very little consideration for sensible planning and conservation. Gunung Brinchang is one of the very few places you can see the original nature of Cameron Highlands, minus the radio and signal station.

We were luck to be there on a clear day, enjoyed the cool breeze and nice mountains.

Tips: if you set off to Gunung Brinchang, on the way back you will visit Mossy Forest, than to the Boh Tea Plantation, for the first 2 hours plus there will be no toilet, so not to consume too much water before setting off.

“Very average”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2013

It's an ok view. It's not particularly clear on most days so don't expect to see very far. Climbing the rickety tower was entertaining. The observation tower has definitely seen better days but it's safe. Depending on how many people are trying to go up or down, you may be waiting for a while. The stairs are steep and narrow so only one person can fit up each section. It's worth seeing but don't expect to be blown away.
