The garden wasn't so bad. We loved the variety of creatures they had, and the exotic collection of insects that we only saw on TV before!
Yes, you will see dead butterflies as other reviewers say; however, it seems they don't know that butterflies have a short life span. A simple Google search reveals this http://www.thebutterflysite.com/how-long-butterflies-live.shtml
Just enjoy the place and don't touch the butterflies :)

The other animals seemed in alright condition besides the bunnies. The butterflies however were obviously not taken care of. I thought at one point wow these butterflies are sitting on these leaves, just hanging out but then realized they were dead , as well as I noticed quite a few on the floor or the water that were in pieces :( not a place that should be allowed to keep animals

A butterfly garden should be a place of joy and impressive delicate insects. It should promote a natural habitat where insects flourish. Temperature, , Humidity and light are teamed with natural and authentic plants to create a micro Eco system.

Cameron highlands is where Butterflies go to die.

What a complete shambles.

The reptiles looked underweight and in the most unattractive state I have ever witnessed. There was nothing in this prison to motivate the animals to move.

My only regret was not taking any pictures. Then I would have something to put you off going.

The sooner this place goes bust the better.

If you do decide to go. just mind your step as a lot of the butterflies just sit on the path. Probably praying to be squished.

Shame on the owners, and anyone who works there.

I've been to Penang's butterfly park so in comparison this is very disappointing. Luckily this place has other insects, spiders, chip munks, snakes, scorpions around that makes it interesting. Although their living compound looks crammed, you rarely get to see so many of the same species in 1 display. E.g. I love the cage of chameleons...there are so many of them and all "hidden" that we had a great time spotting them. It's also the cold weather that makes the snakes active and alive. The kids, all below 10 enjoyed seeing the fighting horn beetles and fighting scorpions. Overall, it's enjoyable.
We tried the steamboat dinner at the restaurant here. It was really good!

At first glance, you will think the butterflies perched on the plants are fake. Because these butterflies are huge. But once you took them and put it on your shirt or head, these butterflies are move. There are few places where you can see so much butterflies. But their butterflies are of one specie only.

They also have many different live animals on display too, you just need to have a sharp eye specially on the insects. Their insect museum can do more improvement to make it more attractive to tourist.
