“Good food but too many flies”
Reviewed November 17, 2013

The food taste is superb. Their signature is the grilled chicken or 'ayam percik'. They have two dining area; open air and air-conditioned. However, there were too many flies and the hygienically can be questioned.

“Ayam percik = good; nasi kerabu = mediocre”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

Yati Ayam Percik is located along Jalan Long Yunus in Kota Bharu. Not a fancy restaurant but they do have an air-conditioned sitting area. I have been patronising Yati since the days they were selling from a stall at the night market in the town centre. As you can surely tell from the restaurant's name, ayam percik is the speciality of the house and is a must-try. It's basically charcoal grilled chicken marinated in spices and served with thick rich sweet-salty coconut sauce mixed with local seasoning. Frozen ayam percik is available for takeaway. One serving of ayam percik cost RM13. Their nasi kerabu however is just average. Plus point: The restaurant offers a variety of traditional Kelantanese dishes including a mind-boggling choice of kuih-muih and desserts. Negative: I find the current prices expensive by local standards.

We went there and the restaurant did not disappoint. Food was good and service was prompt. It was a little late at night but staff were still helpful and courteous

“Ayam Percik + Nasi Kerabu is delicious!”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

Be warned when looking for this place it's a bit out of town, and also not where Trip Advisor has it located on the map, the actual address is 847 Jalan Long Yunus. I went there for lunch, and they were only doing take away, so I sat on a street corner to eat.
That said, the long trek and confusion/asking locals finding the place, plus only take away option were completely worthwhile. I ordered Ayam Percik + Nasi Kerabu, 5RM. Simply put, delicious! I tried the Ayam Percik at the night market in the city and it does not compare to Yati's, the cocunut gravy is the perfect combo of sweet and spicy.
