“Tired, tatty and in need of a good clean”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

The reception looks quite nice, but the rest of the place needs some sprucing up! The room was big and the bathroom huge, not sure quite what the bath come paddling pool was all about! But it was all filthy, the carpets were stained, not that the three cockroaches we killed in the three days of our stay seemed to mind!
Walls were paper thin, I did say bless you to the man next door when he sneezed!
The window didn't fit, but with the application of some paper I seemed to close the gaps to insects, but not noise.
We looked at 3 more rooms after our first night, and although 2 of them were in theory better rooms, we stayed where we were!
It would have been lovely in its hey day, but now needs a lot of money spending on it.
Food in restaurant was ok, just a shame you had to have a 4 dish set dinner as this was quite expensive and more than we really wanted.

Room Tip: the indoor facing ones are quieter

I stayed here twice.
The staff was very polite. The rooms are well priced, basic with Tv and air con.
The location is great. You have the night market and bazar on one corner and the bus stop at the other corner.
I had a good and quiet night here.

A simple room with TV set and clean bathroom. We stay here as it is very near to the attraction as Pasar Siti Khadijah and there are a variety of food to choose at the place called Medan Selera or food court though it's just a similar to a food stall in the night market but it's a good places to find food at night if you want to try the local cuisine. There's a restaurant too in the hotel I recommend you to try 'Tomyam',it's spicy but very tasty,we love it.Sleeping time is peaceful as it was quiet at night even though it was located in the city.We wake up and take a tour on our own to the attractions nearby and we decided to stay there again as it is getting late to continue our trip to other places. The receptionist is friendly and very helpful, they showed us to an upgraded room as the room that we book to stay is full and we take it as it is more spacious and it comes with a view of the front road,a TV with astro channel and my child loves it,bathroom was clean and we had a good night sleep :) Overall,it's a good hotel to stay with your family in a very reasonably price and we are satisfied with the service and when we come back we'll definitely choose this hotel to stay there again.

We stayed for two nights in october2012, we paid 70 rm for a budget twin room, with a/c, tv, and private bathroom. The room had a good wi fi connection
We stayed in kota bharu as we were just starting a journey down the East Coast of Malaysia. The room although basic did have everything we needed for a comfortable stay, but it was a bit tired and could do with some updating ( but we did choose a budget room)but the bathroom did need a really good clean.
The best thing about the hotel.was the staff on the reception ,who were always helpful and had really good customer service. The hotel is right by the bus station and there are some good places to eat close by.
We were only planning to stay in kota bharu for one day, but it's quite a nice town and the royal museums and Malay history museums are well worth a look. Also the local people were really friendly, we were in town the night kelantan football club were playing at the local stadium so the town was quite lively,
Overall a good choice for those travelling on a budget.

The hotel is a little rundown but the receptionists are helpful. We arrived several hours before the check in time but they checked us in when a rooms was available. Problem was they had no hairdryer when we requested for one.

The hotel is centrally located with the mall 5 minutes walk away and so is a bus station and the public market. A food establishment is just across the road.

Its a shame Kota Bahru has few tourist spots so it was a little laid back. Most would merely use the place as a jump off point to the Perhentian Islands.

Cheap hotel with free wifi. Old hotel which could do with modernisation. Electrical wirings are all over the places and potentially could be of fire risk.

Room Tip: Book hotel room facing the main street
